  • SMS Hustle Story – Jean Steinke
This is the Self Made Strategies Hustle Story about Jean Steinke, the Founder of LoftySpot (https://www.loftyspot.com/).

LoftySpot helps community centric organizations find new ways to leverage their underutilized space and earn revenue with an easy to use software platform. They believe places of worship, libraries and community centers are natural locations to gather for work, meetings or events.

The team at LoftySpot knows only too well the pressures of maintaining a tight budget and securing enough revenue to support the work of our communities. LoftySpot engages with organizations around the country who are battling with a declining revenue stream; one not always balanced with a reduction in demand for their services.

LoftySpot’s platform allows communities to market their space to potential guests and easily manage the availability, booking and billing process while reducing the administrative burden. Typical reservation income results in a return on investment in less than two bookings per month.

LoftySpot was born by combining a career in business development with a strong desire to help community centric organizations become more effective. Visit LoftySpot.com to find more about our movement.

  • 41: The Keys to Commercial Leasing with Mike Rabinowitz of Tactix
Mike Rabinowitz works in Commercial Real Estate, as a Tenant Broker, for Tactix.

Tactix is a licensed commercial real estate brokerage firm committed exclusively to representing tenants and other end users of real estate. Tactix does not represent any landlords or real estate developers. Their sole objective is to help companies reduce their real estate occupancy costs by fiercely advocating for their interests at the negotiating table, maximizing competition for their requirements in the marketplace and creating a transparent procurement process so they can ultimately make an informed decision.

Tactix clients include tenants of all sizes, both public and private, ranging from large, established Fortune 500 companies to small entrepreneurial firms, law, accounting and other professional service firms, universities, healthcare systems and other institutions and nonprofits.

If your business is looking for a Tenant representative that pledges:

To provide you, the client, with outstanding real estate advice… to put your interests ahead of Tactix’ own… to make the full resources of their entire firm available to you… to advocate tenaciously and unflaggingly on your behalf, until Tactix has delivered to you the best possible real estate outcome for your business. Then visit

  • 40: Scaling Your Business Through Collaboration – with Alex Hillman – Co-Founder of Indy Hall
Alex quit his job at an agency doing web development to freelance, and it was great. He had freedom to choose what he worked on, and when. He had the flexibility to arrange his work around his life (instead of the other way around). And he got to choose work that was interesting, fulfilling, and productive.

The only problem was that he missed having coworkers.

That’s why he started Indy Hall as a community of people who want to be each others’ coworkers even if we don’t work for the same company!

Indy Hall is a community of people who work their own way

(From indyhall.org) The Greeks had a word - “eudaimonia” - which translates to "the good life" which they described as "...rich with relationships, ideas, emotion, health and vigor, recognition and contribution, passion and fulfillment, and great accomplishment and enduring achievement."

    • Then we will dive into the scaling strategies Alex has used to grow Indy Hall

    • Why listening is the most critical trait to leading to success
    • Why the only way you can gain control of your time, is to stop “selling it”
    • Alex’s best practices (people first always; you can’t listen and react at the same time; and,
