In this episode, Allie gives Russell Brunson’s book, Traffic Secrets, a raving review. Every month, Allie sends out a book to her VIP Accelerator group, and they all read it together and then discuss it on their weekly call. Allie talks about how overwhelmingly fantastic it was, particularly for those who have only been in business for a little bit and maybe haven't quite found their groove in bringing in those leads just yet. Allie believes what it comes down to is (when thinking about traffic secrets) that we’re able to bring those consistent leads in. The tactics taught in this book really allow you to have that constant flow and do the things you should be doing every day, every week, every month. Allie says this is a fantastic book if you’re into business. She says it has very tangible takeaways that you can write on your to-do list and do the very next day. Russell uses real-life examples, evergreen tips, and suggestions that will be valuable for years to come.

Monica opens up about her incredible journey from her 15-year career in journalism to where she is today. She describes herself as a person who worked hard and had all the things. Monica started out working in her hometown in Louisville, Kentucky, hustling doing traffic reporting and then anchoring on the weekends. Suddenly, she was working Monday through Friday on the morning show reporting. She became an award-winning journalist for covering Muhammed Ali’s funeral. It seemed like Monica was on a forward trajectory, but in November of 2021, everything changed.

This week, Allie is super excited to give away her Social Media Planning Pad for FREE. No, it is not just a download, it is a physical planning pad that lives on your desk and lasts for more than two whole years. Allie talks about how she had a client a couple of years ago and they always had an understanding that she would be coaching and teaching her how to take her social media back over on her own. Through the coaching and teaching about why content pillars were important, etc., Allie’s client shared that she just really wanted all of this on paper, written on something that could live on her desk. Allie couldn’t have agreed more, she has plenty of experience writing down ideas on post-its or loose pieces of paper that inevitably wind up lost, and so the idea for her desk planner was born. Every single month is one page, and it allows you to map out what content you need to be sharing on your social media. Allie’s favorite part is that you can still use your trusty post-it notes, but they are all kept in one place!

This week, Allie is diving into "the best business book" she’s read in a long time, and don’t just take her word for it; the members of her VIP Accelerator group agree. Allie admits that it is a deep book that takes a lot of concentration and focus, but the rewards are bountiful. Influence by New York Times bestselling author Robert Cialdini explains the most foundational persuasion tactics in business by going to the heart of the business and how to market yourself. He cleverly uses memorable stories and relatable examples.

Allie is jumping right in with fellow podcast host Paola Soares. It all started when Allie was on Paola’s podcast--But First She Failed, so they decided to go full circle. But First She Failed features trailblazing women that are dominating their industries with a focus on their moments of failure and how those moments propelled them to where they are today. The concept of the podcast is to redefine the idea of failure through lived experiences and to illustrate how failure is all part of the process towards success and purpose. Paola speaks to the fact that she doesn’t actually believe in failure and she sees it as "you win or you learn." Paola goes on to talk about what failure means to her and how her podcast was birthed from her own failure.
