Before Deviant Ink… before sled wraps were even a category… there was a guy in Vermont with a basement, a printer, and an idea no one had fully put together yet.

Bruce Sirjane didn’t invent something out of thin air. He connected the dots. One company had coverage, one had materials, one had partial templates. Bruce saw the full picture. Bought the domain, locked his developer buddy in a room for three days, launched the site SledWraps.com and orders started rolling in.

His goal that first year? 365 wraps. One for every day of the year.

He hit it.

What followed is what it actually looks like to build something from nothing, running printers nonstop in your basement, raising a family in the next room, watching competitors copy you, and turning down opportunities from OEMs.

And eventually, getting an email from some guy named Trevor while sitting on a beach in Central America… and realizing it might be time to sell. What makes this episode unique is… I’m that guy Trevor. And today, you get to hear the story of how I acquired Bruce’s company - Deviant Ink + the history of how the sled wrap industry got started.

Bruce doesn’t sugarcoat any of it. What he got right, what he’d change, and what it really felt like to let his baby go.
