When a person becomes a Christian, they take on a whole new identity. This is the glory of being the treasured possession of God. Out of this new identity, we discover the reason for our very existence. This is all according to God's plan to make a new people, born of mercy.

We will make a 'gospel impact' when we are free from living to please people, and instead, order our lives and ministry around pleasing God. It is a big view of God and all that he has done for us in the gospel that produces this.

The gospel is the power of God for salvation and for sanctification, marked by our love for one another and our ongoing reconciled relationships. The gospel is also the power of God to make us the people of God, marked by holiness and gospel proclamation.

The resurrection of Jesus from the dead is absolutely essential to Christianity. It certifies that Jesus truly is the Son of God and that our salvation and future resurrection is secure in Him. This idea is captured in those glorious words, “He is not here, He is risen!”

The crucifixion of Christ on the cross of Calvary is absolutely essential to Christianity, and the reality of this event in history is captured in the fulfillment, resolve, innocence and suffering of Jesus in order to secure our salvation for all eternity, summarized in those glorious words, "It is finished!"

Because believers have a living hope grounded in the historic reality of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, we are free to fully commit our lives to the pursuit of holiness, knowing that God Himself is holy, has secured our salvation, and is our Judge.

For believers, the glory of our salvation is that it is all of God. He causes us to be born again to a living hope, protects us through faith, and prepares us for a future inheritance of seeing Jesus face to face, all by testing our faith through the difficulties of trials.

For believers, the glory of the gospel is that God has chosen us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and blameless before Him with the glorious privilege of being scattered like seed to proclaim His goodness and grace to the world.

Believers trust in God, who according to His great mercy has caused them to be born again to a living hope, and have their eyes fixed on a future reward, which enables them to persevere in holiness and endure whatever persecution or hostility comes their way.

If we are going to hear, "Well done my good and faithful servant", we must be resolved to live on mission and become all things for the sake of the gospel so that others might receive the imperishable wreath of salvation and we not be disqualified.
