God can use the greatest of human sinfulness to accomplish His great work of redemption. This is seen most clearly in Christ’s rejection, betrayal and crucifixion so that we might receive the blessing of salvation.

Christians die well when they have learned to number their days, have fixed their hope in a heavenly Promise Land that won't fade away, and have labored to leave a strong and enduring gospel legacy behind them.

In accordance with His promise, God is with His people in the person of Jesus for their salvation and in the person of the Holy Spirit for their sanctification. Therefore, we must delight in God's presence now and forever.

As believers in Christ, we are called to follow the pattern of Jesus, that first comes suffering and then exaltation. But the clear motivation throughout all of Scripture is that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

God is with His people both in prosperity and adversity. His presence, however, does not mean that we will not suffer for the sake of the gospel. We must follow Jesus in being willing to suffer so that we might experience the eternal weight of glory that is beyond all comparison.
