God has always had one plan of redemption for His people, that they would be justified by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone for God's eternal glory alone. May we too have faith like Abraham!

All of Scripture, the Law, the Psalms, and the Prophets, teach us about Jesus, His person and His work. They instruct us about His death, burial, and resurrection and the salvation that is ours in Him. Therefore, our whole lives should be about Jesus.

The impossible mission of securing a bride for Isaac points us to the unbelievable lengths that God has gone to secure a bride, the church, for His beloved Son, who willingly purchased her with His own dear blood.

Abraham owning property in the Promise Land demonstrates his confidence that God will make good on His promises and provide; not only physical land, but a new heavens and new earth in which righteousness reigns.

In Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son, not only are we given a glorious picture of the gospel, we are also shown that faith without obedience is dead. True faith is always confirmed by the fruit of good works.

Although the people of God are often filled with contradiction, God's covenant commitment to save and to sanctify through the Promised Son cannot be thwarted. Since this process is all of grace, believers must delight themselves in Christ in order to run with endurance the race set before them.

God's perfect judgment is the result of man's sin; but God demonstrates His perfect mercy in Christ's death on the cross and on-going intercession for those who believe, that they might make it all the way to glory.

The sign of the old covenant helps us understand the need for a circumcised heart that trusts in Christ alone, who fulfilled both the blessings and the curse of the law, and enables us by faith to walk blameless before God.

God sovereignly works in people's lives, not only to call them to Himself in salvation, but then equips them for the work of gospel ministry and faithfully sustains them until the glorious day of Christ's return
