In this episode of Serving Jesus Christ, Pastor Swanson shares an inspirational Sunday message titled,

A New Creation In Christ

Pastor Swanson begins his message with the following:

One of great joys of a Christian is expressed in. . .

2 Corinthians 5:1 NET: For we know that if our earthly house, the tent we live in, is dismantled, we have a building from God, a house not built by human hands, that is eternal in the heavens.

The Apostle Paul looked forward to the day when he would exchange his earthly tent. . . that is, his temporary human body. . . for the glories of heaven.

Though we suffer. . . all sorts of afflictions and temptations in this life. . . a day is coming when we will live in eternal glory.

We long for that day. . . the day when the limitations of this body. . . this tent that we live in. . . will be a thing of the past.

Having no need to decide what to put into a suitcase. . . no sadness over what will be left behind. . . knowing that our new home will contain everything we need. 

What made this possible?

This future is possible because when we recognized our sinfulness and responded to the call of God’s Holy Spirit, we became a new creation in Christ.
