Our friend accomplice in this thing of ours, Tony G. recently went back to Brooklyn for the annual Giglio Feast. Celebrated every July since 1903, the festa celebrates the life of St. Paolino. It's an epic street festival, with food, music, a parade, pirates, bead tossing - wait. Sounds kind of like Mardi Gras, right? But even Mardi Gras doesn't have the wild craziness that goes down when the crowd shouts, "shake the giglio"! Trust us when we tell you that after you hear Tony's story, you'll be planning your trip to Brooklyn for next July.
