It’s the thirty-second episode of our intimate sit-down with some of Hollywood’s well-known actors or rising stars that just so happen to also be friends with On The List host Brett Gursky. This week’s guest Shane Bitney Crone joins Brett to talk all about his new documentary “Bridegroom”, which he is the subject of and also produced. “Bridgroom”, directed by Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, tells the story of Shane’s relationship with Tom Bridegroom. The documentary first premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, where it was endorsed by President Bill Clinton, and then the Los Angeles premiere was held at The Academy in October. Following its theatrical run, “Bridegroom” aired on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network, and is now available on Netflix and at all RedBox locations. Shane discusses growing up in Montana, moving to Los Angeles, meeting Tom, and their six-year relationship. He also talks about how the documentary came to be and how his life has changed as a result of it. Brett and Shane are joined by Shane’s friends Coleen McMahon & Chelsea Cannell, who share their memories of Tom, as well as stories about how they first met Shane. The podcast closes with Coleen’s original song “Beautiful Boy”, which she performs in the documentary and was written in memory of Tom. Be sure to watch “Bridegroom” on Netflix. Shane’s birthday is December 19th and his wish this year is to help raise money for The Trevor Project: http://www.crowdrise.com/FundraiserForTheTrevorProject
