Dennis DeYoung may not be timely when sending out 1000th show congratulations videos, but he sure knows how to hype up a show!

Some songs take on a completely different meaning when you find out what the lyrics actually mean and who the song was intended to be about!
Take Bread's 1972 hit "Everything I Own," when i first heard the song i thought it was about a scorned love or broken relationship...but it turns out Bread's David Gates actually wrote the song about the death of his father!
When you listen back to the song after knowing this, it has a completely different feel to it and is even more beautiful and heartberaking as it already was when you thought it was about a breakup.
We played it on air and the listener reaction was the same as us in the studio! Not many people knew the true intention of the song, so when you listen back to it make sure you have a tissue close by!

It's that time of year again! Rob Thomas checked in and confirmed that he will be a part of the party for the kids at Blythedale Children's Hospital December 14th! Rob is also doing his 8th annual Sidewalk Angels benefit concerts at the Borgata in Atlantic City January 18th 19th and 20th, he and his wife Marisol spearhead this wonderful benefit to help fight homelessness! Rob talked to us about his hit holiday song" "A New York City Christmas" which was created after one of his visits to Blythedale, and how it started the whole Sidewalk Angels idea.

About four minutes into our interview with Bill Burr, we knew we were in for a doozy! We re-established who we were talking to by saying “We’re talking to Bill Burr…” and he interjected by saying “who’s ending his career right now!”
Bill has never been one to hold back how he feels, and the same held true when he stopped by to talk about his show at Madison Square Garden for the New York Comedy Festival.
He says “It was not lost on me” about selling out MSG in 2015, and comparing his one man show to something Ed Sheeran would do, Bill says “I’m a one trick pony, that dude is like next level, ridiculously talented!” “He just comes out with an acoustic guitar and destroys stadiums!”
When it comes to the current women’s movement, he wasn’t shy in sharing his opinion, saying “That Whole Happy Wife, Happy Life, it sounds cute because it rhymes, but it’s a threat,” joking about his wife having control in the house. When it comes to giving into her demands, he says “I use ‘fair enough’…you’re not really saying you’re right or you’re wrong.”
On being an up and coming actor, he says it’s not as glamorous as what it used to be: “aaah you just missed it buddy” people tell him, “it was unbelievable what you missed, now you just come here and go to work.”
Bill’s in the new Hugh Jackman movie “The Front Runner” out November 6th which focuses on former Colorado governor Gary Hart’s failed run for president in 1987.
Bill is playing Madison Square Garden November 7th as part of the New York Comedy Festival, get tickets at www.ticketmaster.com and be prepared to laugh!
Minka Kelly is back! You remember her from the hit show "Friday Night Lights" and "Parenthood," and now you can catch her on the new DC Universe streaming series "Titans."
Minka plays Dove, who she describes as warm & nurturing but is also very strong and bad ass! Check out Mink's interview with Brad Blanks & Patty Steele.
Minka joined us on behalf of the cold and sinus medicine Mucinex.
Not all sharks are created equal! Barbara Corcoran struggled early in her career, but eventually turned a $1,000 dollar loan into a real estate empire and now thrives on the ABC hit show “Shark Tank!” Since she’s been so successful in this role, we didn’t hold back in mentioning some of the big deals she walked on that are now huge successes (can anyone say “squatty potty?!?!?!”).
You can catch Barbara on season 10 of “Shark Tank” with Mark Cuban, Daymon John, Robert Herjavec, Lori Greiner and “Mr. Wonderful” Kevin O’Leary Sundays at 9pm on ABC-7.
And don’t miss Barbara’s new Podcast “Business Unusual with Barbara Corcoran” that can be heard wherever you get your podcasts!
Pat Monahan is in an interesting situation, his highly successful band Train has been around over 20 years, selling over 10 million records with over 30 million downloads and 8 top 40 hits! Train is around long enough to now have a greatest hits collection and tour with Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Bon Jovi and Hall & Oates, but at the same time make new music that’s appealing to today’s kids!

It’s a great place to be, so Train will release it’s first greatest hit’s package November 9th -- and it will also have new music! The best of both worlds for fans from both sides of the spectrum! Train will be back on the road in 2019 with details and touring partners to be announced soon.
When it comes to musical influences, it’s all about Journey for Pat! He inducted Journey into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017 and in his speech he said he moved to San Francisco from Pennsylvania because he heard Journey's song "Lights."
Pat even has a wine brand named after his best song -- “Drops of Jupiter” -- which can be purchased now at www.dropsofjupiter.com.
Paul Reiser is so busy! He plays Dr Owens in the Netflix smash hit 'Stranger Things,' he's co-starring with Christina Hendricks in the new Amazon series 'The Romanoffs,' he plays Kate McKinnon's dad in 'The Spy Who Dumped Me,' and yet he's taking time out of his busy schedule to do a string of comedy shows, including a big one at the St.George Theater on Staten Island! Why? Because he loves it and appreciates the fans' effort in taking their time out to see him! "You gotta get up, you gotta put on shoes, you gotta get a babysitter" he says, "if you come to my show, and you're not fully satisfied i'll come back next year and take you to see someone funnier!"
On top of all this, Paul is in talks to reboot his great comedy "Mad About You" with Helen Hunt! "Actually, it'll kinda be fun" to reboot, "there's actually some stories to tell!"
If faced with the decision to bring back 'Mad About You,' Pauls says he'd have to cut back on calling us to save some time! "I know you don't air it every night, but i call you every morning at 5am!"
You can see Paul Reiser's comedy show at the St. George Theater in Staten Island October 6th, get tickets at www.stgeorgetheatre.com.
We had a very special guest in studio, former Big Show member Naomi DiClemete stopped by and hung out with us for the morning! We reminisced on all the fun we had back in the day and she got in on some of the wacky stories of the day, like the Italian playboy who slept with over 6,000 women and died while doing the deed!
Brad Blanks' 'incredible' rendition of Piano Man and his interview with Mark Rivera, talk about 'A Star Is Born' and so much more!
Listen to Naomi's one day return to the Big Show!
