It’s not often you get to speak to a rock legend! Ann Wilson is a rock & roll hall of famer with 20 top 40 singles & over 40 million records sold, and she was kind enough to check in and tell us about her new solo project plus give us a status update of Heart!

Ann’s new solo album "Immortal" was all put into action when her good friend Chris Cornell passed away. “He was a friend of mine” Ann says, “and I just thought that I had to do something.” Chris inducted Heart into the rock hall and his speech was very emotional! His passing was a springboard to do this album in honor of friends no longer with us.

Some big hits Ann covered on “Immortal” include Gerry Rafferty’s “Baker Street” and The Eagles’ “Life in the Fast Lane.” She also included more obscure tracks from David Bowie and Tom Petty.

When asked about the status of Heart and her relationship with her sister Nancy, Ann didn’t hold back, “We had lunch the other day!” she says, “it’s pretty much an urban myth that me & Nancy are having a big feud.” She continued “we mostly gossiped about family but also what we can do in the future together as Heart.”

Ann does say she loves being on the road as a solo artist, and likes the control she has on stage when doing her thing alone.

When it comes to Heart’s epic performance of “Stairway to Heaven” at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012, she doesn’t think Robert Plant necessarily shed tears for the performance, but more from watching his former Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham live on that stage through his son Jason. “Jason was just a little kid running around during Led Zeppelin’s peak in the 70’s, and must It must have really moved him to look down there and see Jason down there as a grown up man.”

Paul Simon wrapped up his "Homeward Bound" tour this weekend with shows at Madison Square Garden and Flushing Meadows Corona Park, and during the big show recap of the concerts we found out that Scott Shannon has never interviewed, or met, Paul. We didn't believe him so we investigated his claim!

GRAMMY winning hit-maker Kenny Loggins checked in with Shannon in the Morning to talk about his new ‘Soundstage’ CD/DVD release and also revealed info on another project that we are closely monitoring -- 'Top Gun: Maverick'!

Jim Breuer keeps trucking along! He's currently on tour opening for Metallica and he just announced four more shows at the Paramount in Huntington, Long Island which makes it one whole year of his residency in February!

Jim tells us how Metallica asked him to join the tour and tells us what kind of fans attend these shows (and of course he checks out what Scott is wearing to see if he will fit in!)

Wershe sells guns illegally to make ends meet but soon attracts attention from the FBI. Federal agents convince his son, Rick Jr., to become an undercover drug informant.

Emmy & Golden Globe nominated actor & singer (and local favorite) Tony Danza dropped a line to the big show to talk about his current projects!

Tony stars in the Netflix series “The Good Cop” which premieres September 21st – He plays a street smart, rule breaking, ex NYC cop and father to a straight-laced rule following cop, played by Josh Groban! Tony told us some great stories on the set how he was the one singing and the singer (Groban) was doing a killer job with the stunts! He says this show has been the most fun & easiest to execute since “Who’s the Boss!”

Other than Deborah being upset about not being invited to the secret Paul McCartney show at Grand Central Friday, she touched on what’s coming up on IE this week – The September 10th show focuses on Mayhem in the Streets - Hot rods are taking over streets in cities around the country.  The drivers are doing dangerous stunts on public roads & ignoring traffic laws. Inside Edition’s investigative unit gets a firsthand look at the mayhem on the streets.
