  • The Truth About Diet Culture And Your Sex Life

    **Trigger Warning for Diet Culture**

In this week's episode we discuss diet culture and how it has affected your sex life. Do you avoid sex or getting naked with the light on because you are not happy with your body. Suzie is body confident, Mel admits her many ups and downs with it over the years.

We talk about the impossible, airbrushed Instagram images we are all living up to. You look at those images and it's almost impossible to leave and feel great about yourself. We seem to portray a lot of body images at each extreme, there is not so much in the middle where in particular most women are.

Is there more judgment and pressure on women? Is it self-imposed? How much does our diet obsessed culture impact relationships and hook-ups? We dive into what Mel calls the never ending totorturous journey that is diet culture and how it is (amongst other things) making sex and relationships harder than ever!

  • The Truth About F*ckboys

In this week's episode, we talk about fuckboys. Is that the same thing as a player? Are players or fuckboys unable to commit because they are emotionally unavailable or is it simpler than that? They just want to have fun, is that such a big deal or are they making fake promises in order to play?

Mel & Suzie agree that as long as you are honest and you are not promising love and relationship, then it's up to you if you want to be a player, is it not? If you want to sleep around that is your personal choice. The main thing is don't lie, because then nobody gets what they want. Being truthful with your intent is important. If all you want is some fun and you are upfront about that, then there is no issue. It's when you are playing games, messing people around, and lying about your intentions that we think it becomes a huge problem and you are playing someone.

  • The Truth About Women And Their Dirty Minds

We talk about the truth about women and their "dirty minds". Do women think and fantasize about sex more, less, the same amount as men? Why do we think women don't have the same "sexy" thoughts as men? It seems that women are judged more for being overtly sexual than men. Women perhaps believe that they are meant to be demure so they hold back.

We discuss why that is. Are women having the same thoughts as men, but there are different expectations of them?We talk about how women can often present one side of themselves but actually be another. We think most women are just half good girl, half bad girl. We are thinking one thing and doing another?

Listen to the generational differences between us, are there any?

  • The Truth About MILFS

In this episode of Sharing My Truth, we delve into the MILF obsession! What is about MILFS? Mel and Suzie share their views about it. What is it about MILFS that we love. Are there more MILFS today than ever before? Were we always into MILFS? Think, "The Graduate" the movie from 1967.

Is a MILF the same as a "Daddy"? Mel talks about some of her friends dating much younger men. What is it that the older woman sees in the younger man and the younger man in the older woman? There is the obvious, but surely there is more!

Older women are established, know what they want, possibly don't need as much financially and emotionally. The younger man may be less jaded by life, physically more attractive, more fun and can give the woman a more fulfilling exciting sex life.

  • The Truth and Lies About Modern Feminism And 50/50 Relationships

Has modern feminism failed women? What is the truth and the lies about modern feminism? Today we live in a world where there is in fact very little choice for women. For the most part there is no choice, to work, not to work, work part-time. Life, accommodation, food costs require two salaries in most major Western cities. Does anyone have a 50/50 relationship? Is it possible?

What is the truth? Feminism in the 70s fought hard to give women choices and to rid the workplace of misogyny. The misogyny of the past of course still exists but it is not as pervasive as it used to be, but are the choices still there?

It is so hard being a "modern woman" and many women are exhausted trying to be "all things to all people". Are we forcing oppressive expectations on ourselves that not all women want? Have we as women misunderstood the difference between equity and balance in a relationship? Are women today being punished, having to do it all and not being able to? Are we gate keeping certain ideologies, even though we don't actually want them?

Listen to Mel and Suzie and their generational differences are there any?
