Saul Preaches Christ - Escapes Damascus 26th in a series from the Book of Acts - Acts 9:20-31 recorded in my home studio Citrus Heights, California. Saul immediately preaches Christ in the synagogues of Damascus. Upon discovering a death threat against Saul the disciples lower him over the wall in a basket and he goes to Jerusalem. Barnabus verifies Saul’s meeting with the Lord and convinces the disciples he is in fact one of them now. Then Saul preaches there that Jesus is the Christ before they try to kill him again. This time he went to Tarsus while the rest of the church had peace, was edified, and grew.

Saul’s Damascus Road Conversion25th in a series from the Book of Acts - Acts 9:1-19 recorded in my home studio Citrus Heights, California. We examine the infamous road to Damascus conversion of Saul of Tarsus, later known as the Apostle Paul. In this detailed account we see how the Lord orchestrated the events using people in His plan for salvation. Paul dramatically converted along with blindness, abstinence from food and drink, healing, baptism, and being with disciples. Although you and I may not experience what Paul did, we will have our lives interrupted by God at his precise moment in our lives on His timetable. Thus concluding God is sovereign in salvation.

Episode 64 - The parable of the sower found in Matthew 13:3-9, 18-23 (Also found in Mark 4 & Luke 8) That is the text we are working from on this show to simply point out that there is nothing wrong with the sower or the seed in the story. It is men’s hearts that are the problem. The application warns against pragmatism. However before the teaching I give a discourse on what is happening with the ministry, the recent pandemic, and sharing a brief Gospel message. At the end of the program we have time for one question; What are some ideas for evangelism during the corona outbreak? We draw the conclusion the Gospel signs and social media are the best ways to evangelize right now.

Philip & the Ethiopian Eunuch24th in a series from the Book of Acts - Acts 8:26-40 recorded in my home studio Citrus Heights, California. Perhaps one of the most common passages to teach on personal witness and evangelism. Philip leaves a revival in Samaria to find himself going down a lonely road in the desert. This is where he divinely encounters the Ethiopian eunuch. We see a good example of one-on-one witnessing during their dialogue. The eunuch believes and is baptized by Philip before the two are miraculously separated by the Lord. The eunuch returns to his own country while Philip is found in another city. Then going from there preaching in all the cities until he comes to Cesarea.

Simon the Sorcerer23rd in a series from the Book of Acts - Acts 8:9-25 recorded in my home studio Citrus Heights, California. Multitudes of both men and women believed and were baptized. Then we come to one of the more controversial passages in the book of Acts. We see the profession of faith by Simon the Sorcerer, only later to discover the improper motivation for coming to the Lord. It says Simon believed and was baptized. He then followed Philip. Peter & John come to solidify the salvations by praying for them to receive the Holy Spirit. Simon’s heart is revealed thus being rebuked by Peter and brings into question if his faith was genuine.

Christ is Preached in Samaria 22nd in a series from the Book of Acts - Acts 8:1-8 recorded in my home studio Citrus Heights, California. Stephen is buried by devout men. On the heels of severe persecution led by Saul, the disciples were scattered everywhere preaching the Word. Philip preaching the Gospel into Samaria, with signs and wonders following, bringing great joy to the city. The multitudes heeded the message seeing the healing of many who had illnesses.

We also will be looking at the same aspect in Jesus, Philip, and Paul. This half-hour episode will focus on being a itinerant evangelist in somewhat of a “how to” session. The Stoning of Stephen21st in a series from the Book of Acts - Acts 7:37-60 recorded in my home studio Citrus Heights, California. Continuing with Stephen's discourse on Israel’s history we see it come to a climax when he brings the allegations of the death of Jesus to the Jewish nation. The response of course is not taken well, as they are filled with rage and stone him. Stephen, following the Lord's example, asks the Lord to forgive their sins and that the Lord would receive his spirit. As he looks into heaven, he sees the Lord standing at the right hand of the father. An important note is that the clothes of those who stoned him were laid at the feet of a young man named Saul.
