DONE. COMPLETE. WE DID IT!!!!!! This episode is a wrap up of some huge misconceptions from certain episodes, and my own personal experiences with some of the concepts I learned. I cannot say it enough: thank you for everyone coming on this journey with me, and I hope years from now, you can say you were able to learn a lot more on how to handle the stresses in your life with the help of Shay Says.

Our 20s is NOT supposed to be this damn HARD. In this episode, I have Dr. Gaines-Hanks help me discuss different developmental theories on where we "should be," once we are in our 20s, life satisfaction, and how to deal with stress--and even burn out, We are using knowledge based off of what we know when speaking of Maslow, Erickson, and McGoldrick. (This episode has the most connection glitches, yet one of my top favorite episodes to record).

Let's not allow depression to take over anymore--let's get more knowledge on it. In this episode, Dr. Sadeh and I discuss depression. I can't stop thinking about anxiety! Blame it on the a-a-a-anxiety. Sadly, we can all relate to using our anxiety as reasons why we cannot do things we love! In this episode, I brought on Dr. Sadeh to help guide the conversation of what anxiety is, how to decipher between anxious moments and pathological anxiety, and what are the common misconceptions to this mental health issue. In this episode, we will have Dr. Raible on to help discuss the bad parts of friendships in this generation, how to gain better quality of friendships, and how to be your own best friend when it comes to motivation! We go over how there may be some small signals of people not paying attention, turning the attention to themselves, and how you can talk yourself up if this happens! I will reference Mindset (Dweck, 2004), Motivational Interviewing (Rollnick and Miller, 2012).

Ahhh--now let's get the tools to work on these relationships we are in, or the future ones to come. A lot of this information is based on the past episodes we have come to obtain all of this advice--now let's use it in this episode! We even go more into how to use the Magic Ratio when in an arguement. I will reference Mistakes Were Made But Not By Me (Tavris and Aronson, 2014), and Mindset (Dweck, 2004).

Why put blame on ourselves when it was OBVIOUSLY the other person?! In this episode, we get into the nitty gritty about how we, ourselves, ARE contributors in any arguement, or troubles in our past, current, and future relationships. Do not worry, I have done every single one of these mistakes in my relationship--so we are only trying to get better TOGETHER. I reference Mistakes Were Made But Not By Me (Tavris and Aronson 2014) as well as Carol Dweck's Book Mindset (2004).

We are back with another self reflecting episode, but a lot more fun! This episode is just me, where I discuss the hate behind believing in zodiacs, and get into the debate if the Myers Briggs test is more reliable than astrology...or are they the same?! Also, we talk about how we should just "authentically," be ourselves and the personality trait called self monitoring. I reference Adam Grant's article "Unless You're Oprah, 'Be Yourself,' Is Terrible Advice," (2016) and Stromberg and Caswell's article "Why the Myers-Briggs test is Totally Meaningless," (2015).
