The idea was simple: show up, sit down, hit record. No friction. And honestly? The studio part delivered. The makeup part did not.
In this episode I'm breaking down what I've been using, what I bought and barely touched, what surprised me, and what I'd do differently. If you're thinking about building a content space, even just a corner in a room, this one is for you.
We're in the second half of Season 4 and this is my mid-season update on what it's actually been like to record from my in-home content studio. The goal when I built it was to remove as much friction as possible between me and pressing record. And for the most part it worked except I didn't account for what it takes to do a full face of makeup under studio lights and HD cameras. Started at an hour. I'm down to 40 minutes. The lashes still don't cooperate.
I also walk through the equipment I use every time, the gear I bought thinking I'd use it constantly and barely touch, and a couple of purchases I didn't plan that ended up being the most useful things I own for mobile shoots.
