The purpose of one’s life is to come closer to your Soul. We need to recognize the reality of our Soul as something that deserves our attention and energy. I believe our Soul is pulling us towards our highest purpose on earth. We need to acknowledge the Soul, learn its language, surrender to its demands, and accept the path it’s insisting upon. Our psyches are balanced, and if our ego is the “light” of our conscious awareness, our shadow is the “dark” part of our psyche. Dark does not necessarily mean negative, evil, or malevolent (although it can). When we speak of the shadow being dark it’s because it’s unconscious to us #coffeeandcontemplation

Integrating the different aspects of our psyche is called individuation and this process is dedicated to the real centering of our life, helping us become more authentically ourselves. 

Working toward wholeness is freeing in a world where the expectation of perfection freezes us. “Perfect” is not a human quality; holding ourselves to that standard is to put roadblocks on the path of growth. The idea of perfection is a trick of our over-valued ego, constantly looking to resist any change we hope to make. #coffeeandcontemplation
