Most days I don't even know what to feel. The divorce process is already difficult and being discarded like "trash" adds another level of difficulty to this journey. Sis, it is important to keep putting one foot in front of the other, no matter how bad the day or week is. You will look back on this one day and sing a happy song because it was exactly what needed to happen. As women, sometimes, the very thing we are fighting to keep is the thing destroying us. Do you know, this is the first time in a long time, that I felt I actually have a shot at living a long and healthy life? When you are in the situation, no matter how painful it is, you just want it to work. I remember asking, "Can we just have a good day today?" It will hurt, sis but only temporarily, if you keep moving forward. I will never stop believing in love but I can say confidently NOW, that everyone is not worthy of my light. My love, my energy source, and my ability to make a man feel like he is the only man on the planet is not meant for everyone. Whatever makes you unique, Sis is meant for someone special. Learn this lesson from me, don't let the world trick you into believing you are less valuable; the people giving these opinions and making these statements usually don't like themselves and they give advice from a place of bitterness. When the term combative is used to describe a woman you have to first examine the source. The term "combative" is often used to silence women.

We are often loyal to relationships far longer than we should be. Loyalty can often lead to heartbreak when the feelings are not reciprocated. Imagine being foolishly loyal only to be humiliated in the end. I had the opportunity to explore this in my own life, take a listen and share.

It is very easy to point out the flaws in others especially in a relationship. It is often the ones that love us that hurt us the most. We point fingers at who's wrong all the time but how often do you reflect on your own actions. While this is difficult, it is necessary. You can't escape yourself. In fact that is the one thing you take with you to every relationship.....YOU. There is no getting around it. You have to deal with you. We all have toxic traits and behaviors. In order to reach the best version of ourselves ladies, we most hold ourselves to a higher standard. Sometimes we simply have to leave situations that bring out the worse in us.

Black femininity had to branded. Like in so many other areas, black women aren't necessarily included in the conversation on femininity. Nothing could be further from the truth. Most black women that I know long for a space to let their guards down. We don't want to have the daily fight of proving that our existence matters. We want peace. We want to rest..
