  • 67. Self Compassion, Empathy, Discipline, And/Both
This all lead me to my three take-aways for the week:
    >To show up with grace and self compassion for myself so I can better work on my empathy with others.
    >It's never too late to circle back, clean up, and try again with things or people that are still weighing on your heart.
    >Getting curious on what navigating empathy and self compassion look like with discipline and mental elasticity. And/both.

  • 61. This Is What I Know
I've learned a lot over the last couple month *especially* about what being intentional with my body really looks like for me. • 60: The Journey with Endometriosis with Loren Studivant
How many young girls are ashamed of their period so they hide their tampons? How many grown ass women still do this?⁣ or get that pang of shame when we have to ask someone if they have one?⁣ ⁣ I can remember being a thirteen year old girl lying about why I needed to go to the nurses office to my teacher and friends because I didn't want anyone to know I had started my period.⁣ ⁣ I can remember feeling ashamed that I had to start with using pads because my flow was too heavy and a tampon hurt me.⁣ ⁣ What I can not imagine is being a girl that dreads this time of the month that much more because her cramps are debilitating.⁣ ⁣ I can't imagine forcing myself to function on the amount of pain that is describe by @lorenstudivant in today's episode as a 29 year old woman, let alone a young girl.⁣ ⁣ She tells it all, and I'm so grateful she did. I want to break the silence, empower women to get to know our bodies, listen to them, and relentlessly seek help if we feel like we aren't being heard.⁣ ⁣ What do you wish you knew as a young girl? What have you discovered now as an adult?⁣ ⁣ She's Hungry Podcast is available on Apple Podcast, Spotify, and Stitcher! Follow me on Instagram: @sheshungryco

This life isn’t for everyone, and it’s not even for most of the people trying to convince themselves it’s for them right now.⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣
I'm speaking to the hungry. The ones that feel the fear and walk to the edge anyway.⁣⁣
The ones that hear, "that sounds crazy," and think:⁣⁣

    "Yea? Just watch me."⁣⁣
