Holidays are the best memories outside of a new addition to families, whether it's a baby or even an animal.  When you have unresolved issues within your relationship or marriage though, it can surface at the worst times.  Unfortunately, I have countless unpleasant memories of various holidays in being with my ex spouse.  Although I don't allow them to affect me now.  I seem to never forget those moments that could have been amazing. Communication is everything in a marriage.  Don't ruin precious memories because you are lacking in this area.  Get professional help if needed, or an otherwise great holiday memory may not be the only thing you lose eventually.  Happy Holidays Everyone!

Your home should be your sanctuary, and that includes your significant other after you both have gone about your day, and now it's time to come together.  When anyone has to walk lightly around someone, it breaks down intimacy because you never know what will set them off.  If you are in this situation, I pray that you seek counseling for yourself even if he won't go with you.  Counseling is a beautiful thing when two people want to help the marriage or relationship, however; it is not a necessity and one should never decline a support system nor counsel which will ultimately assist in your self-worth.  Love is blind and you want to keep your mind wide open to strengthen YOU at all times.

Watch how you take her for granted.  You may get a meek and soft spoken woman who unfortunately cannot find herself, due to years of some form of abuse.  You may even think of yourself as so in control of what you call a fool because you walk all over her. It may take her many years, but when she exits, it will rock your world and your ego. Please understand that she may not say much, but she's taking in everything that you do to her, and every way that you have made her feel. The tears she's cried many nights when you stayed away with no explanation, may be the same tears stained on your heart if she ever breaks free. There's your clue!

Live life long enough, and most of us can say that we have encountered several different types of people whom we may have called husband or wife, friends, and significant others. Some of those relationships ends up turning into something amazing; others fail for various reasons, but the one thing we can never do is erase the memories, good or bad. A picture, even an old letter can bring about many memories. Go with me as I go through my old photos and tell you the journey that it took me on; although short, it was shocking and sometimes even hilarious! I learned a lot about how my future should look for me because of my past!
