A team of 12 and 13-year-old baseball players from Moncton has been raising funds and gathering equipment and medical supplies for a trip to Cuba in February. The trip is an opportunity to play, to learn about another culture and to help out some Cuban families.

Pam Novak usually joins us to tell stories of the wild animals they rescue at the Atlantic Wildlife Institute. But today she has a story about a donkey that became a part of the family through tragic circumstances, and how that donkey's legacy lives on.

The World Juniors begin on Monday, and some players will receive special gifts as part of the tournament. Players named player-of-the-match will be gifted a hockey stick, painted by one of 4 Wolastoqey and Mi'kmaq artists from around the region. New Brunswick does not yet have accessibility legislation, but a report released Friday recommends draft legislation be drawn up by the end of May. It's good news for organizations that represent people with disabilities. We'll speak with Haley Flaro at Ability New Brunswick.
