Forest degradation is driving declines in bird habitat and populations in the maritimes.

The province's child and youth advocate calls the decision to drop mask mandates in schools flawed, and he's recommending a return to masks while the province considers a number of issues, including a plan to monitor student safety and staff absenteeism.
