2019 didn’t start out how I planned at all. 

I open up to the thoughts racing through my head as I faced not only 1 but 2 back surgeries at the beginning of 2019.

I was forced into asking for help- receiving help.  I was forced into resting.  I was forced to face the limiting beliefs and walls I built to keep me safe and strong…the challenges I faced helped me realize that I wasn’t as strong as I thought I was …and that is OK.

I never realized that the strength I needed to overcome my physical started with emotional and spiritual strength…I almost wasn’t strong enough…almost.

Today I celebrate! I celebrate the 2 back surgeries I start 2019 with.

I celebrate the darkness

I celebrate the anxiety, overwhelm, guilt and depression

I celebrate the fact that I didn’t let those surgeries define me or my year! 

I celebrate the fact that those surgeries broke me in almost every way. They broke the walls that I’d built to protect me. They forced me to look at my insecurities and BS beliefs.

I celebrate that I am stronger not that I have ever been. Mentally physically and spiritually.

I celebrate that I can use what I now know, what I’ve learned to help others.

I celebrate the opportunity to follow my dream and passion, stepping into the life coach role- empowering women to find the confidence, strength and power they have.

Every.damn.thing happens FOR us. It’s up to you to decide if you are going to let the challenging experiences defeat you or if you can rise TF up and become MORE than you were before!

T'is the season for Thankful/Grateful/Blesses…I am calling BS  and not because I am not thankful, it’s quite the opposite.  This year I have SO much to be grateful for!  It’s the “extra” stress that is added to an already hectic holiday season.  Some times it feels like being told you’re NOT thankful ENOUGH…you’re not grateful ENOUGH…

My mom brain hears, I am NOT ENOUGH.  

The truth is in the hustle and bustle of the holiday, stopping to be thankful is not the message we should be sending.

Instead of reminding busy momma’s to be thankful, maybe we we should be telling them to just BE…
