Shit Talk Reviews

2023 marks the 50th anniversary of arguably one of the greatest albums of all time: Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon. The Sh!t Talk idiots just had to take a minute (or 34) to talk about this incredible piece of music. Not that there are too many folks who've been alive for more than 15 minutes who haven't heard it, but it's such an amazing album that they wanted to give it even more well-deserved praise than it has already received.

The guys fawn over the album so much that there's not even that much room for abusing one another. Because, you know, IT'S PINK FLOYD.

Be sure to swing by https://www.shittalkreviews.com for a slew of other reviews, podcasts and directions on how to get to Aunt Jan's house for dinner on Thursday. (She's making her famous buttermilk biscuits...)

Do you like the death metal? Are you down with horror-styled, crushing, heavy music? Then settle in with the guys as they talk about the Celestial Sanctuary's latest album Insatiable Thirst For Torment. They get into all aspects of the record and also conquer some heavy-hitting topics: Will Derek make it home before he loses his innards? Will David's love for Wolfie preclude him ever listening to anything again? Will John ever recover from his Christie Brinkley-inspired whiplash? The world may never know.

Next time you're out cruising the internets, hang a left and drop by https://www.shittalkreviews.com for all of the podcast review episodes, written reviews, updates on the state of the worlds' lemonade markets and more.

The Sh!t Talk team had the pleasure of virtually sitting down with the brainchild of OneFromTheNorth: the one and only McKeenan. The guys pick his brain about living in the land of the Midnight Sun, bringing contrasting musical genres together and which NFL team has the most "metal" team logo.

Be sure to swing by the STR website at https://www.shittalkreviews.com for additional OneFromTheNorth videos as well as other podcast and written reviews and general mayhem.

It's all about Filter this week as the guys talk about The Algorithm. Richard Patrick is back at it with a new record and because it's Filter, they just had to talk about it.  Tune in to see if David did any research on this album, if Derek yearns for his college days in the back of an F-150 and if John can keep his extremities attached to his torso. (Hint - He cannot.)

Be sure to swing by www.shittalkreviews.com for links to this podcast as well as all the other episodes, written reviews, sticker packs and recipes for Gammy's oatmeal cookies. (Spoiler alert - They're FANTASTIC.)

The guys were psyched to get to have a chat with bassist and singer Joe Nally, the frontman for the UK trio URNE. Joe dropped right into the Shit Talk dynamic and immediately started taking shots at the guys. IT WAS GLORIOUS. Joe talks family, passion, heartbreak and his musical history as they talk all things A Feast On Sorrow.

Be sure to drop by www.shittalkreviews.com for all things STR; written reviews, podcasts, mailing lists, stickers, swag and the like. You can even leave a message for Derek and tell him how, uh, "awesome" his beloved NY Giants are!

It's an Atreyu kind of day as the Sh!t Talk Reviews morons get into The Moment You Find Your Flame. Has David entered orbit? Did John lose all technical acumen? Has Derek taken the crown as the most responsible guy in the room? Clearly, the apocalypse is upon us.

Check out the STR website at www.shittalkreviews.com and drop a note in the mailbox by clicking the microphone and scroll through the past episodes and reviews. You can sign up for the mailing list and you can stay up to date on the musical musings of three adult-sized man-children!

It's all about A Feast On Sorrow on this episode. Join the fellas as they take a walk and talk through this passionate new album offered up by UK trio Urne. We also learn this time around that David J is irritating, Derek is irritable and John is addicted to the pink.

Check the video version on YouTube at @ShtTalkReviews or check out the STR website at www.shittalkreviews.com for this review as well as all the other written and audio podcast reviews or you can find the idiots at the Sh!t Talk Reviews Instagram profile if that's how you get down. If you can't stand to see the faces of these three children and you'd prefer to just listen, you can check out the podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and all the other streaming platforms.

This week the Sh!t Talk Reviews idiots go super heavy with a conversation about Ashen, the latest release from Humanity's Last Breath. It's a seriously heavy album and for the STR guys, it led some realizations: David J's personal fan count is by far the highest, Derek's Boston is better than anyone else's Boston, and John is a crazy secretive Celine Dion fan.

Sh!t Talk Reviews is lucky enough to have some great friends. Christian is one of those guys. Christian and his father recently lost their home along with everything they owned in a freak fire, if you'd like to contribute a few bucks and help them rebuild their lives, please feel free to click the link below.

This week we sit down to dine and wind up  chowing down on some spicy meatballs! We get into the sophomore release from Mammoth WVH: II. The heat rises in the STR studios during this convo and there are moments when it looks like we’ll all be going home without dessert. But do we? You’ll have to tune in to find out!

In addition to talking Wolfie, we learn all about David J’s love for both rock dads and classically trained penis, Derek’s prowess with building the modern pyramids of the interwebs and John’s reluctance to engage with the freshly-gummed.

Be sure to check out our brand spankin’ new website at shittalkreviews.com for this and all our other reviews as well as all the content we now post to YouTube. You can even leave us a voicemail with your grandma’s recipe for brown sugar cookies, so be sure to swing by for a visit!

This time around we're getting into not one, but two albums from Cavalera Conspiracy; Bestial Devastation and Morbid Visions. Max, Iggor and crew have re-recorded both of these albums that were first given to the world back in 1985 and 1986, respectively, and we've been waiting to dig in.

In other news, David gets a phone call, Derek yearns for the days of cassette tapes from the Dartmouth Bookstore and John secretly escapes one more week without being posted online in pigtails.

Check the Instagram profile for all our other Sh!t Talk Reviews nonsense and grab yourself some swag.
