For the 30 year anniversary of their EQT sneaker line, Adidas is doing a ‘Life Needs Equipment’ campaign to reintroduce some of their popular retros. There are 16 total releases in the campaign across 4 different silhouettes, one of which is the Equipment Prototype. Enter Sneaker Politics. They used the opportunity to tell the story of the 1984 New Orleans World’s Fair - the last World’s Fair to be held in the US and the first, and only, to have an official mascot. And what’s the most appropriate mascot for the city of New Orleans? A large, white pelican in a blue suit named Seymore D. Fair.
