AND ANOTHER ONE - Welcome back! I got another opportunity to drive down to Lethbridge to sit and chat this time with 3x defending 154lbs WBC Canadian  Muay Thai champion Mr. Cody Jerome! I was pretty excited to be able to connect with Cody Coming off the podcast with his coach Mr. Brad Wall and because Cody is an absolute hurricane in the ring, so I was looking forward to asking him about his style as well as ring strategy and training methods. Cody is the main event on Fight Night 17 by Z-Promotions on January 21st in Lethbridge vs Canadian fighting legend Shane "Shaolin" Campbell for the 160lbs title! HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!  - I am happy to be back diving in to the fight world again now the holiday season is over and BOY WE HAVE A LOT, including the highly anticipated and exciting ROAD TO ONE tournament presented by the MTWC happening in March. Speaking of this tournament, we have a 145lbs tournament fighter in studio today to talk to us about his place in the bracket -  ABDOUL WAFAR! I have had the pleasure to either commentate Abdoul's fights or see them live so I have a good memory and insight in to his recent display of SAVAGRY in the ring, so to get a chance to sit and discuss his style, training, and life before the fight game was a real treat. I love learning the person behind the fighter AFTER I learn the fighter first and this is exactly the example. Great guy, leading a great life that HE wants to build, love it! SHOUT OUT TO YOU ABDOUL!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM THE SHOUT OUT PODCAST! - 1st I want to wish Raja stadium a happy 71st birthday today! we break down a little of of Raja stadium history as well as the recent re branding and the finals of their HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL Rajadamnern World Series, I also try to explain a little bit of the rules which I admittedly didn't find till this morning. We got MASSIVE news in the Canadian Muay Thai scene of a big fight happening in January between Canadian fighting legend Shane "Shaolin" Campbell vs Canadian rising star and absolute bull dozer of a fighter, Cody Jerome for the 160lbs Fight Night title - THIS IS THE PERFECT TIME FOR THIS FIGHT, CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS ONE! we also discuss the MTWCjr's show upcoming in February (more info episode #44) as we start to see a buzz with the fighters invloved. speaking of the MTWC -  the social media campaign for the BIG Road to One Championship is well underway with interviews and Instagram take overs with the fighters involved so take a peek! also, Thai oil and stomach pushes - what does this really do, REALLY?!.... Jason  -  Shout Out Fight Podcast

GO TIME!  - I was invited to come down to Merida Mexico to commentate for the Road to Muay Thai Grand Prix hosted by Mahmoudi Gym Mexico and Ruben Cruz. Jason spends a few minutes detailing the awesome and chaotic trip down there as well as breaking down some of the actual event itself and the fighters that really caught his attention over the weekend. if I had to give this crazy trip a grade? IT'S AN A+! so make sure you listen to find out why I loved it!

I also discuss the Muay Thai and kickboxing bouts from One on Prime 5 on Friday followed by One Championship 164 on Saturday. of course we have a Student SHOUTOUT as well as a good list of rapid shout outs from meetings friends down in Mexico to thanking my Dad! this one is a little short as I am slightly under the weather, but let's talk fights none the less -  ENJOY!

NUMBER 50- Shout Out to you podcast! to help celebrate this small milestone we have Luis Cofre from Bellegarde's Dragons/AMAC in the house! AMAC will be hosting Trial By Fire 12 this Saturday in Airdrie with their fighter looking to take home a WKA north American title in the main event! along with chatting up coming events they hold at AMAC, we got to chat a little bit about how Luis got involved in Muay Thai, his Junior team at the WBC World Championships and of course the phenomenal gym they have build just north of Calgary. As always, we have out Top3 question, Student of the Podcast and our rapid SO's. It has been a long while I have been able to just sit and chat with Luis and talk shop, it was great to have him in - SHOUT OUT TO YOU LUIS!

Jay is back in studio today with friend of the show and BAD ASS Muay Thai fighter from Calgary, Sean Newberry! Sean and I take our time to break down the main card of UFC 281 from both title fights to the absolute BANGER between Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler as well as the retirement fight for Frankie Edgar. We talk about Sean's roll in the Muay Thai World Cup 6 as a teammate instead of fighter, we also make our predications for the 2 upcoming One Championships events this week! as always, we have our Student O' The Podcast, Top3 and our Rapid shout outs. It's clear Sean is a combat sports fan and I appreciate him coming in for a chat all things fightin'!, SHOUT OUT TO YOU SEAN!

WOWWEEE! - what a weekend! Jay and Chris are back in studio frothing at the mouth to talk about the MUAY THAI WORLD CUP #6 which took place November 5th in Calgary. Their was a lot of anticipation for this one as we had 2 WBC Canadian title fights, 1 with a bit of history behind it in Tim Lo vs Markhaille Wedderburn and the other with Canada's hottest fighter right now, Jake Peacock vs the Ninja, Rich Pham! along with this we also had the HIGHLY ANTICIPATED 3 divisions announced for the 8-Man/Woman Road To One Championship tournament starting to take place in 2023 for a chance at a $100,000 mutli fight contract. It was an exciting weekend with amp'd up fighters, coaches, crowd AND COMMENTATOR (wink), it's so awesome to see Muay Thai just FLOURISHING around here again and we are so excited to be a part of it.

WOW DO WE HAVE A GOOD'R! - Muay Thai World Cup CEO Kieran Keddle has brought in another Muay Thai great for a seminar in Calgary and not only did Jay and Chris attend, But Jay was able to sneak in a quick podcast with the 2 time World Champ himself - Mr. Damien Trainor! this was ACTUALLY the very last thing he did before leaving to the airport, so I am very thankful for his and Kieran's time and efforts in making this happen. in our chat, I learned what it was like growing up and fighting on the same circuit together with Kieran as well fighting each other! we discuss the differences between UK Muay Thai and North American Muay Thai. we also get to hear about Damien's opportunity to work with UFC champion, Henry Cejudo among a ton of questions from Jay as he was like a kid with all the questions in this one! Jay has been a huge fan of the UK scene since the early 2000's so to get to sit in a room with BOTH of these guys and ask away for an hour is an opportunity we recognize not many get, so we did our best to take full advantage so we hope you enjoy the podcast.

THE DREAM TEAM IS BACK! - It's been a few podcasts since hosts Jay and Chris have sat and talked shop, but luckily their was lots of fights and events locally and internationally for us to talk about! To start - we want to thank Mr. Kieran Keddle for bringing in ANOTHER Muay Thai living legend in Damian Trainor! it's awesome to see him move live and in person than just on a screen (blessed!), we loved it. We had 2 - One Championship cards to go over with a few title fights AND upsets from both the Amazon Prime card and morning (Canada) event. Jason was at the Mike Miles Road To Glory show in Calgary on Saturday to watch local and international athletes including the 4-Woman international tournament with Canada's Maggie Tucker taking the win - CONGRATS MAGGIE! of course as we inch closer to the MUAY THAI WORLD CUP event we keep our excitement high and discuss the big night ahead. We also gossip the mega boxing fight that everyone wants but can't seem to happen as well as a "mega" boxing fight nobody wanted...
