Jay and his Cub had a few minutes to spare this weekend so it's time for another CUBCAST! - the reality is I do this for our family and with the hope the Cub will get used to something like this be it - public speaking, talking to a mic, doing a podcast, using audio equipment, etc. for the future. We talk about Christmas, our favorite pets and we get a couple visual karate demonstrations! (yes this is an audio podcast...)

Jay and Chris have come into the gym to see the year off with a TOP 3 and best of the year show, while sipping on a couple 1,2 wobbly pops. we go over our top KO's and fights of the year in boxing, kickboxing, MMA and Muay Thai as well as our overall KO OF THE YEAR! we also reached out on social media to our followers to hit us up with their top 3's for us to answer on the podcast. it was a fun, relaxed episode and a good way to send off 2021. Jay and Chris are back on the mics for a chilly one right before Christmas! boy, it's a good time to be a boxing fan right now with a couple divisions stacked with multiple MONSTERS and MATCH UPS to chat and get excited for including Tank Davis, Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney and Errol Spence Jr as well as chatting about other fights and results all the way up to heavyweight and OF COURSE the GIANT upset pitting George Kambosos jr vs lightweight king Teofimo Lopez. we talk a couple key match ups on UFC Vegas 44 with Jose Aldo Jr vs Rob Font in a helluva main event, we also discuss former world title champion Cody Garbrandt - he's lost 5 of his last 6 so where does he go next? speaking of upsets, let's not forget the biggest upset (according to betting odds) in UFC history in Amanda Nunez vs Juianna Pena!

Did you see the Muay Thai World Cup 3?! - let's talk about it! Jay and Chris were the broadcast team for the Muay Thai World Cup and boy, did we get to call some great fights. We breakdown some of the stand out match ups from the MTWC3 and discuss maybe some interesting match ups for the future. We chat about the big boxing fight over 1 year in the making with Teofimo Lopez vs George Kambosos happening Sat November 27th for the unified lightweight championship or the world, a lil UFC and some muay thai across the pond.

This Saturday, Saturday!, SATURDAY!! - The MUAY THAI WORLD CUP IS BACK IN ACTION! and Jay got a chance to sit down with Muay Thai World Cup CEO and former Muay Thai World Champion Mr. Kieran Keddle and gossip about it! we analyze the fights from #1 - #15, we discussed what we thought where some key match ups as well as the process to create such a massive event during crazy times world wide. Coach Kieran has been around the world promoting, fighting and coaching so I also wanted to take the opportunity for myself (and by many requests) to have a chat with him about his coaching style and philosophy, the coaches who made the biggest impact on him and what he's looking for in a young, hungry student looking to enter the fight game. This was a great chat with one of the best in the business and I am grateful for the chance to sit down with him and go deep into the fight world!

LET'S TALK FIGHTS! - Jay and Chris are back after a weekend of highly anticipated fights in a few different combat sports. We had Canelo vs Caleb Plant for the 1st ever undisputed championship at 168lbs which gain a lot of steam after the press conference that saw a little slap and tickle! We go over the blockbuster UFC card including Usman/Covington, a total battle of physical chicken with Gathje vs Chandler and more. We discuss the changes and build up to the November 20th Muay Thai World Cup as well as talk about some awesome stuff happening inside our own gym as well. Chris is in London cornering friend of the show Jake Peacock who's defending his European title,  so Jay takes to the road for this one driving to Red Deer Alberta to chat with Alberta Martial Arts pioneer - Gil LaFantaisie!

Master Gil is the Chief Instructor of Black Dragon Martial Arts & Fitness Ltd. in Red Deer and Jay's 1st martial arts instructor. This is the 1st time Jay has had the opportunity to sit down and talk his history and Canadian/North American Martial Arts history with Sensei Gil in 20 years! so their was lots to talk about including Bruce Lee, The 1st female black belt in Canada, the COUNTLESS combat sports trainers Sensei Gil has worked with and the incredible stories of his martial arts path and who he learned under. This podcast was important to me (Jay) as Master Gil really is the man to mold who I am as a martial artist in my most moldable years and I got to ask some questions as well as have some puzzle pieces fit together which I was always curious about in my past. I cherish those memories just as much as I now cherish this podcast episode, This is one I will never forget!

WE ARE BACK!  - and boy do Jay and Chris have lots to chat about. OneFC "first strike" was on Friday morning (local) and man it did not disappoint, it had EVERYTHING! we saw upsets, we saw legends retire, new legends emerge, tears and a TOTAL SHOCK in the main event - WHAT A ROLLER COASTER OF EMOTIONS. This was one of the best kickboxing events we have seen in years, GO WATCH! 

We also breakdown the boxing mega fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, another unreal fight! we discuss added Muay Thai World Cup bouts to the November 20th Super show, we talk Chris going across the pond again to corner friend of the show Jake Peacock as he defends his European title.
