The podcast encapsulates the research I have been doing around Gold jewellery collected through South Asian journeys of migration as artefacts with the capacity to be carriers of emotions and memories.
With support from the Arts Council, I have spoken to a range of people within the South Asian diaspora, about their gold jewellery, what it means to them, how these pieces have travelled through migrant journeys and they memories they holds. This is Empowered Adornment, Gold Jewellery stories with Anisha Parmar.

Imagine finally escaping a marriage after years of abuse. But there’s one last step- you need your abuser’s permission to get a divorce. That’s the reality for the Jewish women in Getting Free, and countless others around the world. Their husbands use a religious tradition to trap them in marriages that should have ended a long time ago.   But it doesn’t have to be this way. Hosted by Rabbanit Leah Sarna, and produced by the International Beit Din, Getting Free tells the stories of women who finally escaped these marriages and rethinks the system that supports their abusers. 

The pilot episode is out now, and the full series will arrive later in 2025.

Sin embargo, esta realidad no ha conseguido que abandonen el objetivo de ser felices en su nuevo hogar. これまで300件以上の家系図・自分史を制作。戸籍調査から古文書の解読まで、専門的な知識と技術を駆使する一方、「誰も不幸にしない対話」をモットーに、依頼者一人ひとりの心に寄り添うことを大切にしています。
岩手県二戸市に暮らし、東京・神田との二拠点で活動中。二戸の銘酒「南部美人」をこよなく愛しています。
