Wij zijn een ambitieuze Drentse plattelandscorporatie. Met een woningbezit van ruim 6.000 woningen zijn we niet de grootste corporatie in het noorden, maar wel een met een duidelijke visie op “bouwen aan de toekomst.” Wij werken aan voldoende betaalbare woningen, van goede kwaliteit, comfortabel en energiezuinig. 
Historie woningcorporaties in een notendop:
Woningcorporaties zorgen er al meer dan 150 jaar voor dat mensen betaalbaar kunnen wonen. In 1852 werd de eerste woningcorporatie opgericht in Amsterdam. Opgericht om iets te doen aan de woningnood en belabberde huisvesting van arbeidersgezinnen.Voor de invoering van de Woningwet in 1901 waren er in Nederland ongeveer 40 woningbouwverenigingen zonder overheidssteun.
Een miljoen zogenaamde woningwetwoningen werden er gebouwd tussen 1900 en 1940. De toenmalige gemeentelijke woningbedrijven hadden voor de Tweede Wereldoorlog 86.000 woningen in bezit. Na de Tweede Wereldoorlog was de economische malaise bepalend voor de ontwikkeling van woningcorporaties.Tussen 1947 en 1985 steeg het woningbezit van de woningbouwverenigingen van 196.000 tot 1.607.000 woningen.
Hiermee steeg het aandeel van de woningbouwinstellingen in het totale woningbezit van circa 9% tot 30%.

Met een woningbezit van ruim 6.000 woningen zijn we niet de grootste corporatie in het noorden, maar wel een met een duidelijke visie op “bouwen aan de toekomst.” Wij werken aan voldoende betaalbare woningen, van goede kwaliteit, comfortabel en energiezuinig. 
Historie woningcorporaties in een notendop:
Woningcorporaties zorgen er al meer dan 150 jaar voor dat mensen betaalbaar kunnen wonen.&nbsp;In 1852 werd de eerste woningcorporatie opgericht in Amsterdam.&nbsp;Opgericht om iets te doen aan de woningnood en belabberde huisvesting van arbeidersgezinnen.Voor de invoering van de Woningwet in 1901 waren er in Nederland ongeveer 40 woningbouwverenigingen zonder overheidssteun.
Een miljoen zogenaamde woningwetwoningen werden er gebouwd tussen 1900 en 1940.&nbsp;De toenmalige gemeentelijke woningbedrijven hadden voor de Tweede Wereldoorlog 86.000 woningen in bezit.&nbsp;Na de Tweede Wereldoorlog was de economische malaise bepalend voor de ontwikkeling van woningcorporaties.Tussen 1947 en 1985 steeg het woningbezit van de woningbouwverenigingen van 196.000 tot 1.607.000 woningen.
Hiermee steeg het aandeel van de woningbouwinstellingen in het totale woningbezit van circa 9% tot 30%.
