In this episode of Grit & Grace, we delve into the topic of women in politics, their representation, and advocacy. Despite making up half of the world’s population, women are still largely underrepresented in political decision-making. We discuss the current state of women’s representation in politics worldwide and highlight the unique perspective and understanding that women politicians bring to issues affecting women and families. We also explore the role of women-led grassroots organizations in political and social movements and examine the barriers that women, especially women of color, face when running for office. Finally, we offer suggestions for supporting women in politics, including amplifying their voices and advocating for policies that support women and families.
