I love the Canadian and Japanese universal health care system. Japan and Canada both hold a great universal health care system. I am so fortunate to be born and living in these countries. If you are thinking about studying abroad, health care insurance is something very important to consult about. So, Canada and Japan are great choices in terms of affordable and cost-efficient health care. What do you think?

When I first came to Canada, I never knew why Canadians wear Canadian flags on their backpacks and hats. But now I do and see the difference between Canada and the USA. What do you guys think?

Did you know that it's quite expensive to get a driver's license in Japan? It can cost from $2500-$3000 to just get a driver's license but there are pros to it too. You can take a concentrated course which takes only 2 weeks and get a full driver's license. It is very nice that both Canadian and Japanese drive's licenses are transferable to both of the countries.

Today's topic is body hair care routine in Canada and Japan. Especially the hair down our private area. It is interesting to see how the trend changes over time in two different countries. When I came to Canada in 2007, Brazillian wax was the way to go when it comes to taking care of the hair down there. I still remember it was super shocking for me as in Japan at the time, at least,  was that it was an untouchable area in terms of hair care. We did shave underarms and legs but not our private area. It was considered to be a preventive thing.... lol, Of course, it is now more common in Japan to take care of the hair down there now.

I am covering the topic of online dating today. I talked about the famous POF (plenty of fish)to Tinder days. I have never met anyone at Tinder but a few on POF. However, unfortunately, I did not end up dating anyone and met my current partner on the street lol. A lot of my friends and people I know meet people online and end up getting married. It is very interesting how this meeting online thing becomes popular nowadays.

Surprisingly I get a lot of requests and/or questions to talk about marijuana. In Japan, Marijuana is still considered to be a hard drug and is strictly regulated. Possession of Marijuana can put you into Jail for a good while.  Since I have been in Canada for a good amount of time, I can say I am better educated about Marijuana compared to regular Japanese people.  So in this episode, I decided to talk about its history in Canada, medical Marijuana, my experience, and thoughts about Marijuana.

Today's topic is international marriage. If you are considering having kids and you or your partner is from elsewhere, you really should educate yourself about Hague Convention. Being a foreign parent is not an easy thing to do.  My mother was a foreign single mother in Japan and now I am becoming a foreign mother in Canada. You have to be ready to become one, both mentally and physically.

The truth about Japanese companies in North America. I have personally worked in one of the somewhat famous Japanese companies at their Vancouver branch. It wasn't the best experience but I did learn a lot which I am appreciative of. You are the only one who can decide your worth, do not let others judge your worth.
