We exclusively spoke to Jeff Pierre from Walker about his character Trey Barnett and how he went from the military to the boyfriend, to the coach, and ultimately a badass Texas Ranger. Pierre and I discussed everything from what it was like getting the job to the pivotal scenes like the shootout with Cap or the crazy Stella save from the trail. Pierre jokes that he has had so many jobs -- but one that is serious and emotionally meaningful was the day he was told his character would become a ranger. Pierre talks about what it was like putting the outfit on and how he got away with not wearing two belts (it will make sense when you listen to it). Pierre talks about how much he loves the cast and some of the shenanigans that go on in between takes. However, the most important thing I learned in this interview is that Pierre is one of the nicest people on the planet, a fantastic husband and father (we got to do a mini-interview with his daughter), and just a humble human being. His smile is infectious, and we spent so much time just having fun and talking. We came up with some good pranks, and hopefully, if the show is renewed, I will get to come on set and hang out with him and put some of those pranks in motion.

Synopsis:

Joshua Malina (best known for shows like West Wing and Scandal) met with me to talk about his epic career and theatre stints along the way, including his latest run in Leopoldstadt. Malina is such a pleasure to meet because he exceeds your expectations. I have met him in the past, and he has always been lovely, but he is one of the most humble actors on the planet. There is a special joy in his eyes when you speak to him about working as an actor. You can see that this is nothing something that he has just "gotten used to" over the years, but rather something he loves and is excited about every second of every day. Of course, I had to bring up one of my favorite characters of all time from Scandal. Still, we go over many of his projects with Malina, excited about every single one and thankful for everyone, leading to his latest role in the play, Leopoldstadt. From the clips I have seen, the play is funny, but profound. It's topical and important. Malina talks about why this play is unlike anything he has ever done, adding that he did not hesitate for a second when offered the role. When discussing how hard it might be to do so many shows a day, Malina said he doesn't want to complain, and that he is thankful and will continue working because he loves it. Listen to Malina as he excitedly talks about his projects and impressively has remained humble as pie. I just love his smile and joy, it's very contagious!

We spoke with Nancy Travis, Tiera Skovbye, Beau Mirchoff, Sara Garcia, Jake Foy, and Tyler Jacob Moore about their latest roles in Hallmark's latest hit drama, 'Ride.' The cast spoke about what it was like landing the job, what fans can expect from their characters, and how fighting for something you love (in this case, a multi-generational ranch) is so important because so many ranchers are being run off. The cast also had fun choosing which characters they would have fun playing other than their own, how much fun they have working together, and of course, which interview room was the "cooler" room. This cast was excellent; they are passionate and excited for fans to see season one. I loved the show's drama and family aspect, and I look forward to hearing about a renewal soon!

Gabriel Basso, Luciane Buchanan, Hong Chau, and Showrunner/EP Shawn Ryan sat down to talk about the political thriller, 'The Night Agent.' Basso and Buchanan talk about their characters, what it was like running from the law, and how they stayed so fresh and clean while on the run. The duo also told some fun behind the scenes stories about some pivitol scenes of the show. Academy Award nominee Chau spoke about the essense of her character, her idea behind the gray hair, and why she knew she had to be apart of the show. Meanwhile, Ryan spoke about why he wanted to do a political thriller right now, how to keep the story clear but entertaining, why he liked the idea of an agent being stuck answering phones, and thoughts on season two.

Chris O’Dowd, Gabrielle Dennis, and showrunner/EP David West Read sat down to discuss AppleTV+'s new comedy, 'The Big Door Prize.' O'Dowd and Dennis talk about finding humor, how their characters handle their potential, and what happens when a machine turns an entire town upside down. When asked personally about the best and worst possible "potential" cards, O'Dowd and Dennis quickly gave some hilarious responses. Meanwhile, Read spoke about the original source material, adapting it for AppleTV+, whether or not he would use the machine, and what to expect with this town as potentials continued to get revealed.

Synopsis:

Drake Rodgers took on John Winchester, one of the most famous fathers in television history. The Winchesters is a prequel to the fan-favorite Supernatural which had a few versions of John Winchester over a decade, with Jeffrey Dean Morgan cast as the original. So now that the first season of The Winchesters has ended, Drake sat down with us exclusively to do a deep dive into getting the role, the wardrobe, fun moments on set, behind the scenes details, acting with his cast mates, and a bunch of things he learned from Jensen Ackles (including some entertaining stories). I asked for an update on the latest renewal news and his plans now while the show is on hiatus. Drake even took the time to answer many fan questions from you directly. Kale Culley comes into the frame, and immediately, you can't help but see the resemblance between him and his "tv" dad Cordell Walker (played by Jared Padalecki). They both have the charm, good looks, and that carefree perfect hair. Culley and Padalecki also share the same type of intellect. Culley spends much time conversing about Augustus' decisions or how certain scenes were filmed. He also attributes his freedom as an actor while on set and behind the scenes to Padalecki for creating a set where one's voice could be heard. A place where "the best decision is the right decision" and everyone is on an equal playing field. Culley said he learns every day from all of the actors on set. We discussed how much his character has changed, where we see him going as the season ends, and what it was like seeing Jared and Jensen on set together (we got some good intel on how the two work together and the carnival scenes that went a little chaotic). Regardless, Culley is an actor that is heading for success. He understands the art form and is constantly working to improve (although we think he is perfect). Hopefully, the show will get a renewal soon, so I can head down there and let him drive my car (it will make sense after you listen to it). It was so lovely to get to know Culley and consider him now a good friend. I couldn't be happier for him!

Philemon Chambers plays Deputy Augustus on The CW's Walker: Independence. Chambers (who said I can call him Philly) spoke about the importance of diversity on the show and how it's not being used to further the storyline but exists because it should. We discussed the evolution of Augustus from when we first met him to the epic finale, with Augustus being the one to get that final shot in. Philly is one of the most accessible people to speak to; we found ourselves laughing and connecting personally before hitting the record button. We spoke about life, what we have in common, and our overall experiences. He is so loving and supportive of his cast and is humbled by the position he has been graced with. In addition, we both shared our mutual appreciation of trying to destigmatize mental health. We hope to be able to create a more serious forum in the future where we can discuss it in depth because, as he mentions, 'no one is alone in this.' Regardless, Chambers was one of the brightest lights we have had on the podcast, and his insights into the storyline, his character, his castmates, and ultimately his life are ones that I aspire to bottle up. Hope you enjoy getting to know "Philly" as much as I did.
