Zorine Truly, aka thee Hoochie Historian, is a modern-day renaissance woman blending culture, style, and storytelling. Her curatorial and digital archive work, all infused with her personal flair, continues to make waves and resonate.
Zorine grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and is the creator of HoochieCon, a festival and art exhibit celebrating Hoochie culture, as well as Hoochie History, an online video series highlighting the impact of Black women (and other Black folks) on fashion and pop culture. She also released the HoochieCon Coloring Book, promoting mental health care.
