Four-time Olympic gold medallist Simone Biles shocked fans when she pulled out of the women's gymnastics team final, saying she needs to focus on her mental health.

The American athlete scored thirteen-point-seven-six-six (13.766) - her lowest Olympic vault score - before withdrawing from the event.

This comes after Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka withdrew from the French Open in May, to protect her mental health.
