Born in Leeds, Michael Vickers is an established singing teacher and educator based in London. He is the Head Tutor of Singing at Italia Conti and additionally works in private practice as a singing teacher with both aspiring and professional performers. His work also encompasses singing voice rehabilitation.

Michael trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where he received his undergraduate degree in Vocal Studies and then his Master's Degree on the school's prestigious Opera Course. Michael's teaching is underpinned by substantial study and teaching experience, and he has been fortunate to learn from a range of world-leading pedagogues and clinicians. Lydia Hart is a specialist Speech and Language Therapist, working in the field of Voice and Upper Airway. She works with people experiencing difficulties with their speaking or singing voice, or other throat symptoms. Robert (“Bob") Marks is a voice teacher, coach, conductor, arranger, author, and director. He holds a degree in speech and voice pathology and has taught at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy and the Weist-Barron School in New York. He has given workshops, Master Classes, and seminars internationally. His articles have appeared in several publications, including the internationally recognised Journal of Singing.
He has been the musical director of over 200 productions across the country, including every style of music, from Kismet to The Rocky Horror Show. He has coached cast members of almost every current Broadway musical, and former students have included Laura Bell Bundy, Kerry Butler, Debbie Gibson, Ariana Grande, Nikki M. James, Ricki Lake, Constantine Maroulis, Lea Michele, Sarah Jessica Parker, Natalie Portman, Christy Carlson Romano, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Britney Spears and Ashley Tisdale.
He was a pianist with the Broadway and national companies of the hit musical Annie, and spent two seasons as the Associate Conductor of the St Louis Muny Opera, working with such stars as Shirley Jones, Paul Williams, Carol Lawrence, and Vincent Price. Recently, he published a book with co-author Dr Elizabeth Gerbi, 88 Keys to Successful Singing Performances which is available on amazon.com.

Today we talk to laryngologist Declan Costello who, during the Covid-19 pandemic, helped coordinate research on the perceived dangers of aerosols and singing. A singer himself, Mr Costello is stationed at Wexham Park Hospital in Berkshire as a consultant ear, nose and throat surgeon specialising in voice disorders.

Declan Costello is a consultant ear, nose and throat surgeon specialising in voice disorders (a laryngologist).  He studied music at St John's College,Cambridge, where he was a choral scholar, and went on to study medicine at Imperial College. As a singer himself, he has a particular interest in treating voice disorders in performers. Having worked for ten years in Birmingham as a consultant, he moved to Wexham Park Hospital in Berkshire in 2018. He has published a number of books and has written many chapters, including the chapter on "Larynx" for the 42nd edition of "Gray's Anatomy”. In the middle of 2020, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, he helped to coordinate research on the perceived dangers of singing and aerosols. This research led to the UK government opening up performing after a prolonged period of enforced silence.

Cassi Mikat and William Pazdziora are the co-founders of The Voice Collective, a voice studio based in NYC (and across the country, online). Their mission at The Voice Collective is to bring collaborative, empowering, and elite voice training to singers everywhere who want to feel joy in their singing, free from limitations. Cassi and William met at Boston Conservatory, where they were a part of the inaugural class to complete their MFAs in Musical Theatre Vocal Pedagogy. There, they became quick friends, bonding over their similar philosophies for both life and the voice.
 Cassi and William both have extensive performance experience in regional theatres and entertainment venues across the United States and the globe. In addition to their MFAs, Cassi holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wright State University in Acting with an emphasis in Musical Theatre, and William holds a Bachelor of Arts from Temple University in Theatre with a concentration in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Dance. William currently serves on the voice faculty at Berklee College of Music.
Cassi and William both were selected to present at Boston Conservatory's Vocal Pedagogy Professional Workshop in 2022. Cassi presented on finding sustainability and authenticity in pop/rock singing alongside Dr. Jessye DeSilva. Allie Tyler is a professional vocalist, singer-songwriter, voice teacher, and marketing and business coach for voice teachers.

Her voice teaching journey began 13 years ago, leading her to fall in love and learn everything about online marketing. In 2015, she began her formal business education while consulting music teachers as a side hustle to help them grow their teaching businesses.

In 2018, she rebranded her own teaching business to "The Whole Voice", focusing on singing as a self care practice through group workshops, online courses, and The Whole Voice podcast. When covid hit two years later, her focus shifted from teaching voice students to coaching voice teachers on how to transition to the online space and make money in creative ways.

Now, she is the founder and teacher behind The Voicepreneur — a podcast, program, and worldwide community that helps voice teachers scale their businesses online.
