For our Halloween special, we bring you two frightening American urban legends! First Rainie takes us to the state of Virginia where the “Bunny Man” roams Fairfax County. Douglas Griffin was an escaped mental patient who roams the forest in Fairfax killing and mutilating little bunnies shoes corpses he hangs from his bridge. Legend goes that if you go to the Colchester Overpass (colloquially known as Bunny Man Bridge) on Halloween night and call out “Bunny Man, Bunny Man, Bunny Man” at midnight, he will appear in his bunny suit and cut off your head with an axe before hanging your body from the bridge like he has will all his other helpless victims. Then McKenzie takes us to Staten Island where the legend of Cropsey has been told for centuries. Cropsey (also an escaped mental patient) kidnaps and tortures children before killing them. This was often used as a cautionary tale to keep young children from wandering off, especially into the woods or into the tunnels under the abandoned Willowbrook State School where Cropsey is said to live. This was harmless until the 70’s when the tale became all too real!

Today we have something really special for you guys. We recorded a live podcast show last week. We had Melynda from the Hungry Hustle join us as we discussed Oregon serial killers. Melynda covered Dayton Leroy Rogers, who focused on killing sex workers and discarding their bodies in the forest. We discussed the serial killer Jerry Brudos, the "Shoe Fetish Slayer" who murdered four women in the late 1960’s. Jerry had a fetish for women's shoes and women’s clothing, and desired to have complete control over his victims. Jerry is a case study that shows the escalation from petty theft to murder, rape, and necrophilia. Jerry was eventually caught after, the task force created to investigate into the multiple missing women in the area, discovered multiple bodies in the Willamette River. They were also tipped off to sightings of a large red headed man dressed in women’s clothing lurking about.

In 2007 people began going missing while out on what they thought were ordinary hikes in National Forests of the Southeast U.S. Their debit and credit cards would be used several times for cash withdrawals after their dissapearacnes and then soon their bodies would be discovered. Often these bodies would not be found whole. The killer would be caught on bank security cameras although he himself well enough  that he couldn't be identified. This killer made a monumental mistake however, when he abducted Meredith Emerson. In the struggle for her life she would create a cascade of evidence that would lead to Gary Hilton's capture, although she would pay for it with her life.

He always felt like there had to be others that had witnessed the UFO or even his abduction, and he set about trying to find these people. You will hear multiple compelling accounts of UFO sightings from that same evening, evidence found after the  incident and even an event that occurred in that same area in the year 1874.
