Many companies selling mycelium products are doing so with 'mushroom' labeling, which is a completely different part of the life cycle of a fungal organism. Skye analyzes the current petition to the United States Food and Drug Administration to require companies selling fungal products that are not actually mushrooms to accurately state so on their product labels.
