Jake and I got to spend some time together talking about our journeys into personal development and business. We discuss how Jake started to invest into real estate and how he was able to start to build a rental portfolio. Apart from his development, we also dive into my own journey and what obstacles I have had to overcome to get to where I am.

With all of the saved money, he bought his first house and moved to Indiana. Since then, Jake has been house hacking and leveraging his rental income to purchase other rentals. Today I will talk about two topics that I have been thinking about alot that help set the foundation for what I believe to be lots of financial success. Most people don't understand the true value of a dollar, and how to get the most value out of a dollar. I also tie that into the fact that the true way to pay fewer taxes, is to ironically, make more money. Don't believe me? Listen and find out for yourself!
Justin and I talk about building a community and how people can create a space to consult or coach through the experiences they have accumulated over time. We discuss the power of groups and creating an offer to be able to share. We topped off the conversation talking about taking intentionality into our families and how we can be better husbands and fathers.

This was one of my favorite podcast episodes to record! My mom and I went deep into a few questions that give people an inside view into how my mom was raised, and why/how I was raised. We had HIGH expectations growing up and we talked about why that is. A big part of how we grew up revolved around education. We talk about why education was so important, what some of the problems with education are now, and how people can utilize education and knowledge to become better and be better.
Meet my mother. Amy Slack is the incredible mother of 6 boys. 6 Boys?! We even had a TV growing up! Amy Slack was raised in an environment where respect, kindness, and education were all very important. She instilled in her kids the importance of hard work, believing in oneself, and a devoted faith in good Man upstairs. She is currently teaching 6th grade and in her Masters of Education program to be able to step into administrative roles within the K-12 education system.
Lots to unpack in this episode. Cody and I talk about lots of undervalued KPIs that business owners typically don't talk about. We also highlighted several different factors that influence business like ego, fulfillment, peace, and confidence. God is very important to both of us so we talked a little bit about our reasoning for doing what we do and how others in our circle operate.
Cody Jefferson is Public Speaker, Men's Life and Business Coach, Entrepreneur, Investor, Advisor, but most importantly, he is Stetson's Dad. With more than 10 years as an ecclesiastical leader, and a double Master's of Theology, Cody helps businessmen and entrepreneurs understand and execute on important KPIs that don't necessarily have to do with business like fitness, spirituality, and relationships. He loves being dad and consistently pushes those around him to help good men become great.
I wanted to highlight the power that a leader can have as one tries to find their way to success. It is not an easy road. I have experienced many bumps along the way. That being said, I have put people in my corner, on purpose, who already are, where I am trying to go. Sometimes as an entrepreneur, we try so hard to get to the next level of success quicker. A GOOD mentor can help you achieve that. A bad mentor can really hurt.
Mike and I talk about how we got to where we are today. We discuss education and the path one might take to achieve a professional level of success.
