Slaughterhouse Studios

This show features local Denver comedians talking about anything and everything within the Colorado comedy scene. We hope to create a space where people can say whatever they want, and we are not a success until we have someone lose their job at SNL. This week on the podcast we have JD Lopez (LeftHandRIghtBrain Podcast) & Evan Johnson. With these two favorite locals, we get a view into the Denver Comedy scene, pre-pandemic. A scattered history lesson of the mics, venues and show hosts that ran the Denver comedy world and how it compares the vibe of the scene now. JD shows off his Nunchakus skills and Evan brags about cooking 5-star meals while pooping himself in the kitchen. Throughout the show, we break down jokes, tell stories from the local scene and discuss all of the important things happening all around the world. The hosts Evan Fitzgerald and Dylan Kantor had a great time with these guests and would like to thank them for coming by the studio.

This episode begins with a deep and unplanned discussion between Evan and Laura about ancient civilizations and the "conspiracy" of Pangea.  Evan moves the show along with a bunch of wacky stories about gas station scams, the official Poptart of the Nuggets, and Chloe's recent near escape.  The two try out a couple of new segments including Tik Toks with Laura and Hollywood Scoops!: Who poops, who pukes and who is Mr. Gaga?  The internet has been flooded with the ten-year challenge, instead of posting a photo, Evan and Laura add this podcast and they bring back memories of their biggest fight.  *Warning* There will be singing in this episode and a shameless plug for Hello Fresh (please sponsor us).

This show features open and honest conversations with host, Austin Langley. This week on the podcast we have Quentin Johnson to discuss his story of losing a parent as a child, and how it affects him as an adult. After a recent fall off of the wagon, Quentin is beginning his road to sobriety and bonds with Austin over the constant fight. With stories of traumatic cop interviews to incriminate family members and group therapy with balloons that "did NOT work", we see the origins of the dark material that Quentin now uses to connect with audiences. Guests on the show are encouraged to be genuine, while no subject is off the table. It is a judgment free space to talk about those subjects that aren't normally discussed in everyday life. Guests open up about those stories and personal experiences that maybe they haven't shared before or would like to get off their chest. The goal is to be unrestricted and transparent.

This week's episode is a week late, but it's too great of a podcast to not release. The boys are back with a lot to discuss, starting with recapping the most recent trades in the NBA, then discussing rankings in the league and a deep dive down the history of "The Denver Thuggets". The group discusses the craziest stadium names in the history of sports and then make NFL predictions, and the answers are better now in retrospect. At the end of the episode, we get a hilarious story told by Derrick about the neighbors scaring him. Austin Ledabski and Dylan Kantor are two Denver based stand-up comedians with a love for sports and they have started a podcast to capture the world of athletics from their unique perspectives. This week we have our 3rd host, and sports expert, Derric Ragsdale in the studio. Throughout the show, the hosts will recap recent games, discuss controversial plays, and different news stories from the sports world. A lot of the discussion will be about Colorado sports, but the show will encompass sports topics from around the globe. With thoughts and run-throughs of past games and predictions about future games, this show is your one stop shop for all things sports. This podcast is recorded in Denver and is a Slaughterhouse Studios production.

This show features open and honest conversations with host, Austin Langley. This week on the podcast we have Oshee Baugus to discuss his recent tumor diagnosis. Oshee walks us through the night he collapsed, and then woke up in a hospital to a doctor explaining to him that his brain has a tumor. We also have a special health care expert (Oshee's Mother) in studio to explain the details of everything medically that's going on. This episode is heavy, but also full of laughs, and truly offers a unique sense of perspective that reminds everyone of how valuable life is. Guests on the show are encouraged to be genuine, while no subject is off the table. It is a judgment free space to talk about those subjects that aren't normally discussed in everyday life. Various standup comedians face up against each other in a war of insults and the victor of each battle is judged by the applause of the audience. This Denver based competition is a head-to-head fight with 5 rounds per battle and a headlining set of traditional stand-up in between the show to keep things moving. Recorded live in Jester's Palace on 1-7-21.

We hope to create a space where people can say whatever they want, and we are not a success until we have someone lose their job at SNL. This week on the podcast we have Evan Joe, Spaghetti Jake and Robbie Kumeso. This is one of the funniest episodes we've done so far with some truly hilarious moments. We cover the entire "Brawlecule Effect" story, play a round of good cop/ sad cop with Jussie Smollett and theres a discussion of why you should fear the pale horses. This episode almost didn't happen because Evan Joe was locked in a garage with dogs but broke out to make the podcast. Throughout the show, we break down jokes, tell stories from the local scene and discuss all of the important things happening all around the world. The hosts Evan Fitzgerald and Dylan Kantor had a great time with these guests and would like to thank them for coming by the studio.
