Slow Ready Podcast

Mike & Alex are joined by friend of the show, Nolan Elingburg from the Corner of Grey Street Podcast, to discuss Goose's oustanding inaugural Viva el Gonzo festival. The trio talks through the lay of the land, all of the terrific supporting acts, and of course SEVEN terrific Goose sets over three magical days. This episode was an absolute MARATHON with how much excitement there is to discuss!

Everything Must Go is finally here! Mike & Alex are here for another episode where they discuss their first impressions of Goose's outstanding fourth studio album. But before diving into the songs, they discuss a very busy week for Goose between gigs in New Orleans for Jazz Fest & beyond, and promoting the new album. The episode closes out with the album discussion and each host giving their hasty rankings of each of the new studio cuts.

Alex & Mike are back with a more laid back episode to discuss some of the songs that we think that Goose should cover. They are joined by friend of the podcast, Jeremiah Zimmer, to run through the wide variety of genres and songs they think would work well for Goose, before highlighting Jeremiah, his work with Hop Butcher for the World, and of course some rapid fire questions.

We're definitely going to need to make this a multi-part series, so feel free to e-mail us or message us your suggestions for songs you think that Goose would crush!

We are back with another terrific interview with Sarah Blazincic and Cari Bryce from the Western Sun Foundation! Sarah and Cari were so gracious with their time and talked through the foundation's mission and goals, their relationship with Goose, and some of the incredible events they have put together over the years. And of course, Mike & Alex ended the episode in typical unhinged fashion asking Sarah and Cari some fun lightning round questions.

Check out the Western Sun Foundation's website here to find ways to get involved, and be sure to check out their socials on Instagram and Facebook.

Sensitive Content Warning: This episode contains discussions of harassment and sexual misconduct. Some listeners may find this content sensitive or distressing. Please listen with care.

We are back this week with a very special guest Ashley Driscoll from GrooveSafe to talk about her incredible organization and GrooveSafe's mission to stop harassment and sexual assault at live entertainment events. Ashley talks through many of the approaches GrooveSafe is taking to create a safer live music experience, along with how all of us can help and get involved with the cause. Later, Ashley offers Alex & Mike some perspective on some of the challenges faced being a woman in the jam band scene before closing out the episode with some lighthearted rapid-fire questions.

We fully support GrooveSafe's mission, and as this issue disproportionately impacts women, we thought it was appropriate to release this just before International Women's Day. We encourage all of our listeners to try to listen and learn with us during this interview, even with its challenging topics.

Be sure to check out GrooveSafe's website for more information on their mission, how to donate and how to get involved.
