November 17, 2020How did you meet your wife?Well, how did I meet my wife? Well, it's a miracle that I actually met her because I didn't want to go to the activity that we met at. So we both went to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah at the beginning of the year. They usually have meet and mingle activities and like I said, I didn't want to go. But my roommates wanted to, so I went along, and at the meeting mingles, you'll play a bunch of games, you'll get a lot of food, meet a lot of people. And one of the games that we played was Red Rover Red Rover. And in this game, you divide up into two groups. One group makes a human chain by holding hands, and the other group tries to run and break through. Anyway, I looked to my right, and there was this new girl that I didn't know and she had beautiful brown hair and beautiful greenish brown eyes and my heart sunk or exploded. She is amazing and was amazing then. And we played the game and she gave me a look and come to find out later on.She was thinking she got a thought in her head. It was like, you're going to do something really important with this young man. And sure enough, months later, we started dating and we've been together ever since. And it's a testament to how amazing my wife is. Thank you....more3minPlay
November 17, 2020Do you look more like your mother or your father? If you take just a quick look at me. You'll think I look more like my dad. Both taller, both broader shoulders. Long legs. But if you keep looking, there's a lot, obviously, have a lot of things that come with my mom. And so, the shape of my face is more like my dad. It's a little bit more...it's a little bit longer. But the individual feature, they actually look a lot like more like my mom.So just the shape of my eyes, the shape of my mouth, shape my chin. I look more like my mom in those ways. Interestingly enough, I grew a beard very easily, actually. Get that from my mom. Not that she has appeared, but it's her side of the family that gave me the genes that it's like a girl very pretty easily. My father struggles a lot when he tries to grow a beard, because it's slow and it's patchy. So I've always given them hard done about that.My mom is she's shorter. She's pretty short. My dad is extremely tall. And so I am right there in the middle, and so I'll never be taller than my dad. But that's okay. I'm still a pretty good height, and I don't have to look around for size 15 shoes like he does, and that's nice. But yeah, so I guess kind of summing up body wise, I look more like my dad. But my facial features mostly come from my mom. I also got her tiny, tiny hands. So for my height, actually very small hands, and I got that from my mom....more3minPlay
November 17, 2020Who is the funniest person in your family?Who the funniest person is in my family? That's actually a difficult question. We all kind of have our own differences sense of humor. Porter, for example. He's very sarcastic, very. He likes to be sarcastic, he likes to be ironic. But if you put a gun to my head, I'd have to say my sister Jenna, she's the funniest. I say that because it's a humor that everybody can get along with. She pokes fun, but not in a way where anybody gets offended. She's very careful. She knows the limits, right, and that's something that we can really appreciate. Her humor doesn't put anybody down. And that's something that we all also really appreciate because, at least for me and my wife things it's only funny if everybody's laughing, even the one that's being poked fun at because we don't mind people poke in fun at us. We don't mind people pointing out little things, but there are certain things, like when you know somebody has an insecurity or what it makes them uncomfortable that we don't like that. And Jenna always respects that. And so we like that. She's also very intelligent, very witty. She's a girl and so a lot of people are attended to think she's kind of ditzy, but she's not. She's very smart. And so, it's just well placed. It's well said without being offensive. And that's and that's something that we really appreciate. Growing up she wasn't always this funny, but just growing up, she found her way of looking at the world, and when she shares the way she looks at the world, it's it makes you laugh, and it brings a lot of joy....more3minPlay
November 17, 2020Tell me about your last family gathering. The last family gathering. It was last April, and it was actually under some interesting circumstances. So we've been trying to figure out trying to work with my job and his job and and my mom's work and see, like when we could go out and was like, I guess just next Christmas. But interestingly enough, we only got together because I lost my job due to the pandemic and we thought, well, you know what, no better time than now. I guess we're going right now. And so we went. And so it was a stressful time for me, but it was a good way for us to take our minds off the stresses we were going through and just figure out what our next steps for. And it's good to be able to be around family and have their support. It was nice that my daughter got to see her grandparent's and then got to play with them. And we really took advantage of the week. We went to see the the temple. That's close by, that was a very beautiful building. We didn't get to go in. But it was, but we just got to walk around the garden, so that was nice. We walked around, we found a sculpture garden. We could take that we tour, and that was really cool. Just taking pictures with all those sculptures. My family loves board games, a lot, too much if you ask my wife. And so I took advantage of the time that I got to do that. We played a lot of board games, found a new delicious pizza restaurant, mod pizza. And it was just really nice to have a kind of step away from real life for a week and a half and just spend time with with family like we hadn't gotten to for a long time. So, that's less than a big family gathering....more3minPlay
November 17, 2020Describe the personalities of your family members. So Brianna, the next old step for me. She's a tomboy. She's all, she's the one that wears the pants in her relationship. And so she grew up. She played flag football. She was into sports. She was Daddy's little girl just trying to do boy stuff. She likes cars and stuff like that. But she's very spiritual. She is the righteous one of the family, right? And and then there's Jenna. She is a very charismatic people person. She's very cute. She's very funny. She gets on your good side. She's very respectful. She's very careful not to offend. And that's something that we all really appreciate about her. She's the kind of person who you just want to do what she wants you to do because, you know, how can you say no to that cute little smile and so, that's Jenna. She's the one that kind of usually gets what she wants in the family. And then there's my little brother, Porter. Porter, he had a tough time growing up because he is actually deaf and so he has what's called cochlear implants, and so it's basically a microphone that sends the sound to directly to his brain. But he has big aspirations. He's very artsy. He likes theater. He's taking storyteller classes. Despite his setbacks he tries very hard to sing, even though he's deaf and a lot of people don't appreciate it, but it's just because...he said things sound differently to him. And so, like I mentioned before, he's an English major and he's actually already writing his own short stories, and they're very good, even terrifying, they're dark, but they're very good....more3minPlay

November 16, 2020What unhealthy habits do you want to remove from your life? What unhealthy habits do you want to remove from your life? I wish I could say there are none. But to be honest, there's one thing that I hold on to that I really need to change in my life, That is soda. I love soda pop. I love the flavor. I love the fizz in my mouth. It's just something that I habitually drink all the time, a lot. And I know that it's not very healthy for me, and that's one thing that I want to remove from my life. And I think it's going to be a hard thing, but I think it's one of those unhealthy habits that would be worth eliminating from my life. It the caffeine can make problems with your heart, your mind, all sorts of things that people have said that it can do for you or do to you on being if you're drinking sugar drinks, sugar soda. Of course, you're drinking all those calories, which is not helping the waistline it all. But then, if you're drinking diet soda, then you're talking about the sweeteners that aren't real sugar like aspartame.Does that do anything for you? Doesn't not? There's all kinds of studies that say that it hurts you and there's harmful. And, you know, any time you're putting something unnatural into your body, it probably isn't a good habit. So that's one unhealthy habit I think that I would like to remove out of my life....more3minPlay

It could be significant other that you want to be around for or be healthy for, or a goal that you're looking for.You need get you to improve your health. I think that's just one thing. There's so many things you can do to improve your health. But that's one thing. Have a why. Why does it matter? and I think another thing to help you be healthy, which has really helped me is finding something you love that's active, you know? Do you love racquetball? Do you love tennis, basketball, running dancing's gymnastics? soccer? do you enjoy hiking, walking, swimming? Something active that you enjoy to do.Lot of people like to talk and so they'll find a friend that they can walk and talk with on that can help them get healthier. November 16, 2020What healthy habits do you have? What healthy habits do you have? One of the healthy habits that I have is running. I love to run. It hasn't always been that way. But it's one of the healthy habits that I've developed over the last 10 months of my life. I was challenged to run a half marathon. My friend kept begging me and begging me. And finally I said, "okay, I'll do it". And I looked up a schedule online, and I started running. It was slow and painful at first, and I hated every single second of it.But I remember the joy that I felt when I finished my first two miles that I'd run without stopping. And then I got to the five mile mark and it was such an accomplishment. And I was so happy that I had been able to run the whole time. Looking back now, I wouldn't call it much of a run. It was more of a fat man shuffle. Because I was quite over weight of the time. I just kept running and running, and I worked through all the pains in my legs, and it was hard work, but I felt my body getting stronger and healthier and got more dedication. And I just got more strict and more strict with my my running schedule, and it's created a healthy habit in my life. My goal is to run anywhere from 20 to 25 miles a week, and I enjoy it. In fact, I remember the first run. It was probably an eight mile run or maybe a seven mile run. I can't remember exactly, But was... I ran out like, 3. 5 to 4 miles and was coming back home on this trail that I had been running for 2. 5 months and I'm running back and my body feels good. And I feel this energy. And I just thought to myself "I'm enjoying this. I love this. I love running" but I never did before. I always wanted to think that I loved running, but I never really did love running until that moment when I really loved it and fell in love with it. And now I have this habit that just keeps going and going, and I just have to run it. I guess it's an addiction and I love it....more4minPlay
