Wikipedia defines innovation this way: it is a new idea, more effective device or process. Innovation can be viewed as the application of better solutions that meet new requirements, unarticulated needs, or existing market needs.
A simple tweak on an existing product, idea or behavior can produce incredible success.

There have been other coffee joints that also were doing something similar. But Dunkin Donuts led the way until …
Starbucks came along and tweaked the behavior of coffee drinkers. Instead of creating another coffee provider, they focused on creating an environment where coffee could be consumed.
What did they do? They innovated.
