“When did the benefits of journaling become sexy? What makes it sexy?”
You might be asking these and / or other questions when you read the headline of this post. I would too. It creates for me a curiosity that I want answered or clarified.
Let me calm some of your curiosity by asking you a question: “What makes anything or anyone sexy? Who determines what or who is sexy?”
I believe the word sexy when used as an adjective, a verb or a noun is subjective. Someone decides that they are going to make it so.
If that is true, why can’t I decide to make the benefits of journaling, sexy?
It is sexy because of some of the criteria used to determine what or who is sexy – the look, the touch, the emotion or the smell.
I can say the emotion(s) or the feeling(s) generated from writing a journal entry is similar to that of what we come to expect from the context in which the word is used. The look of a person. The moves of a person. The aroma of perfume. The sensual look of a woman (you might add man).
Having developed the habit of journaling over the past several months after much resistance as I share in this episode, I have come to realize there are incredible benefits that make it sexy for me.
Here are the Five Sexy benefits Of Journaling I covered in this episode.
1. Having something to reference
2. Clarity
3. New idea generation or formation
4. Create good habits and discipline
5. Serves as a stress reliever.
5 Tips On How To begin A Sexy Journaling Journey
1. Do it daily i.e. journaling (just in case you were wondering LOL)
2. Begin anywhere, and forget spelling and punctuation.
3. Write quickly, as this frees your brain to successful journaling
4. If it helps, pick a theme for the day, week or month
5. The most important rule of all is that there are no rules.
