This might seem like a simple question, but I encounter so many business owners and entrepreneurs who can’t answer this question.

They tell me about their marketing on social media and those who have told them that they have a good idea, but they still struggled to specify what they are selling or planning to sell in their business.

69% of entrepreneurs in the U.S. start their businesses at home!

And women are more likely to start a business at home as well as run and maintain that business from home!

So given that 69% of entrepreneurs like you and I start our businesses at home. It got me to thinking about that task of actually working from home.

As in the whole environment and how it impacts my productivity.

So when I thought about all the jobs that I have had in the past prior to be a school psychologist and then working from home, I started to think of the places where I was most productive.

As an entrepreneur, I have learned the value in having a comfortable home office that allows me to be productive.

Communication is necessary for any relationship, including growing a business.

As business owners, we have to communicate with prospects, referral partners, and with vendors. 

If you’ve only been using one way to communicate to prospects and you are not getting the results or sales that you want, then it may be time to look at other ways of communicating.

Yes this podcast episode is about New Year's resolutions even though it is March.

In an article in the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business, O’Shea and Buckley shared that in the early stages of building their business, entrepreneurs have to learn to manage their learning and their acquisition of knowledge.

That success is connected to self-regulated learning that we do as entrepreneurs.

I couldn't believe the day came when I made it to 1 year after making the big decision of having my own business. 

On that day, I remember telling myself, "You hold the power to move your distant dream of success from dream to an everyday reality."

Seriously, I kept telling myself that for an entire year and it helped me out. 

It was not easy to get to that 1 year mark. There were so many things that I didn't know and so many things that I needed to figure out. Getting to that 1 year mark didn't happen by accident. 

I found some strategies that I thought would work. Implemented those strategies and benefited from the results of my actions. I couldn't believe it. I had some doubts throughout that first year, but I didn't let those doubts stop me.
