Patrick and guest Co-host, Collin McLelland had a chance to talk with Amanda Brock, Chief Commercial Officer of Solaris Midstream and Craig Simpson, Project Director of the 2nd Annual Water Sourcing & Produced Water Management Permian Basin 2018, about the issues of water management and Health Safety and Environmental issues associated with it.
Water sourcing and produced water management are rapidly becoming the most important topics in the upstream oil and gas industry. Every barrel of oil brings with is an increase in produced water, that either has to be treated, recycled or pumped into disposal wells. Combine that excess water production with the need for treated water in hydraulic fracturing operations and you can see that being able to manage the full water lifecycle is a problem for upstream and midstream oilfield businesses operating around the world.
