When U.S. President Donald Trump ordered a drone strike on Iran's Quds Force leader Qassem Soleimani, he says it was to prevent an attack and perhaps stop a war. But many on the American Left say he made the region even more unstable and may have lit the fuse for World War III. If the Islamic Republic of Iran reacts with a strike on U.S. assets, personnel or allies, should the President ask Congress for a declaration of war? And hasn't Iran been at war with the U.S. since the 1979 hostage crisis?
