For years now sales has been viewed as a "Dirty" word. Why? We all need products and services. We all want to know all about the products and services before we pay for them. When someone is selling us they are telling us why their product or service is better then others which gives us all the info about that product or service. So why do we all cringe when we see a salesman walking our way? Today I share two experiences where I was being sold. One "Dirty" and one not.

Every day business owners, men, women, and children are affected by the "Insta Lie". It ruins companies, confidence, families, and even marriages. The worst part it most of it isn't even real. If we get into the spiral of comparing with the illusion of whats being presented online to us it can absolutely crumble our whole world. Lets discuss.

At the end of the day every company wants more customers. This is where sales comes in. EWW I said a dirty word (sales) :-) Why is this such a bad word? It's because there are some terrible salesman out there giving it a bad name. You are probably thinking this isn't me or my company. Are you sure? If you have sales reps are they prepared, and how are they representing your business? Now don't think, "Well I do the sales and I'm awesome!" Some times as owners we can actually be the worst salesman.

At the end of the day the success or failure of your company is all on you. Most people have no idea how to market. Instead of educating themselves like you are right now with this podcast they just do nothing. Like Tony Robins says "I's not the better product or service that wins, it's the better marketing" Here's the thing, if you truly understand who your avatar (client) is, you will know best what they are looking for. This makes you the best marketer for the job. Lets discuss.

We only have so much time in a day, week, and month. Where is all your time being spent. If you are like me, you put your everything into whatever you are doing. So when I am building a business it's all I can think about, dream about, and I get a little obsessed! But what is this mind frame and obsession doing to our families?

So its the end of the year with one holiday hitting after another and you just spent way to much money on black Friday, small business Saturday, and Cyber Monday. Christmas is just around the corner and things are getting tight.Your looking around thinking how can I get more money? Then it hits you, "If I don't spend as much this month it's like I made more money this month!" Good idea right? Wrong!

Every day you fight to get new sales spending money on marketing and sales tactics which is most likely some what affective if your company is growing or hopefully at least surviving! The crazy thing is that you are not even closing as many sales as you could be. Even crazier, most of the time you can fix this problem by simply automating it. The problem is that most companies don't realize they are missing out on sales. We are talking about "Follow up".

There are two things that have helped us create several successful companies over the years. It's hard running and growing your business but implementing these two simple things will change your business forever!
