Caleb Truax is a current badass and the former IBF Super Middleweight boxing champion. He grew up in Osseo, MN where he excelled in football and baseball. He went onto play football for one year at Virginia State where a severe knee injury ended his football career. He moved back to Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota. On a dare, he competed in a toughman contest where he ended up losing the fight. But, that fight sparked a passion for boxing. Caleb worked his ass off to move up the ranks and won the Title in 2017 vs James DeGale. Unfortunately he then lost the rematch a few months later. He is working on getting back to title contention and should have a fight announcement soon. A huge thank you to Caleb for coming on Unrestricted.

Straight entertaining... that's what Steve is all about. Ever since he was a young boy in Pittsburgh, PA he's always wanted to be in the entertainment business. That early curiosity became a passion when he saw a popular local television reporter doing a Live hit. From that moment he knew he had to work in the business. After high school, he and his girlfriend (now wife) attended Azuza Pacific University just outside the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles. While in college, Steve created a successful entertainment YouTube channel which was bought by REELZ channel. He worked with REELZ in LA and Albuquerque. In 2013, he got a job with KSTP in Minneapolis as a reporter. His extremely funny and quick personality helped him land the job as co-host of Twin Cities Live with Elizabeth Reis. It wasn't long before he was asked to do a fun weather hit for Live with Kelly and Michael (Strahan). It was such a hit, he is now a regular contributor to the show Live with Kelly and Ryan. Steve also co-host's a morning radio show for MyTalk 107.1 from 9-Noon everyday.
You can find Steve on Twitter and IG at: @kstpsteve
My ole teammate EJ Henderson is a freaking badass. He played 9yrs in the NFL, all with the Minnesota Vikings. He was drafted 40th overall in the 2003 NFL Draft out of University of Maryland. While at Maryland, he was a 2X All-American, 2X ACC Defensive Player of the Year and winner of the Bednarik and Butkus awards. All of those accolades earned him a spot in the College Football Hall of Fame. As a pro, he earned a Pro Bowl nod after the 2010 season.
He discusses his College Football HOF induction and what that means to him. We also talk in depth about the cerebral side of football and when it all "clicked" for him. He opens up about his serious leg injury in 2009 and how difficult that was for him to watch our team compete in the NFC Championship game from the sidelines. EJ by nature is a quiet guy but you will hear how personable and easy he is to talk to. I hope you enjoy EJ Henderson on Unrestricted.

Jamaal has quickly risen up the ranks within the Minnesota Vikings scouting department. He joined the staff in 2002 as a regional scout after a couple of short stints with the then Washington Redskins and also Houston Texans. For years he learned the craft and art of evaluating college prospects. During that time, he forged an impressive trusted network of college coaches and players. He learned the life of an NFL scout is certainly not glamorous; it's jammed packed with flights, rental cars, hotels, early mornings, late nights, tight schedules, and many days away from your family. But it seems to be all paying off. In 2017, Jamaal was named Director of College Scouting for the Minnesota Vikings. His responsibilities include managing a team of area/regional scouts, providing pages of information to the GM and Head Coach, shaping the roster and finding the next great stars. Jamaal and I talk about his life and specifically breakdown most the 11 Vikings draft picks. From his home in Maryland, I'm so grateful for the time Jamaal gave us on Unrestricted.

Big Dave Ostlund is a former World's Strongestman competitor. At one point he lifted his way to be the 3rd Strongest man in the World. Dave began his love of weightlifting at Edina (Minnesota) High School while competing in the shot put and discus. He knew to improve in those sports, he needed to get stronger. From there, his passion for pushing his body grew as fast as his gains went up. While in college, he entered a Strongman competition just for fun and ended winning the damn thing. It became a life altering moment. And from there he pushed, pulled and lifted his way to professional status. How does one train for such competitions? What did he eat? What are the events like? How are the other competitors? All of those questions are answered plus more. A big thank you to Dave for being on Unrestricted! He would like to thank Thousand Hills Beef for supporting him, you can find them here: https://thousandhillslifetimegrazed.com/
