From Sounds Like Radio's Library of Sound come Volume 67, a Bing Crosby short show originally broadcast December 13, 1954.  In this show you'll hear Bing talk about the Christmas time happening at the Della Robbia Boys Rebublic.  Della Robbia wreaths are produced through a work experience program that teaches kids the true value of honest labor.   A lesson many an adult today could learn.  Listen as Bing sings some songs and talks about the wreaths at Della Robbia.   An early Bing Christmas present here from Your Humble Host.   Enjoy this 15 minute short show.

Well, what have we here from the Library of Sound Volume 155, it's Sherlock Holmes & the good Dr. Watson at Christmas time!   Today our favorite British team, Carlton Hobbs & Norman Shelly are back to perform the classic Arthur Conan Doyle original Christmas tale of "The Blue Carbuncle" as it was originally heard December 25, 1961.   Your Humble Host is happy to bring you these Sherlock stories especially as they're based on the original Doyle writings.   Let's travel back now to the late 1800's and hear all about that Christmas goose and his unusual egg.

From the Vast Library of Sound Volume 66 comes a real classic funny Phil Harris-Alice Faye Christmas Show. In this show from December 11, 1949 Phil & his trusty pal Remley go out to buy Alice a mink coat for Christmas but then figure out it would be better to buy a dishwasher for her. But what to do to, how to install it?  Don’t worry Phil has Remley to do all the thinking.

A really funny show I listened to just today & just about every year and I still laugh out loud especially when I hear the jokes that I know are coming.

You’ll get another chance to hear Gildersleeve's Leroy (Walter Tetley) as the smart-aleck teen, Julius.  Also Joseph Kearns (Bronco’s father on Gildersleeve & Dennis The Menace's Mr. Wilson) will be on hand as the mink coat salesman.

It's Volume 154 of the Library of Sound with a real Christmas Classic now on the radio!   One of the perennial Christmas movies I watch at least every other year is "Remember The Night" starring Fred MacMurray & Barbara Stanwyck.   

Well, in today's Sounds Like Radio we not only have Fred & Barbara for you but all the rest of the original stars from that movie including Elizabeth Patterson (Mrs. Trumble on I Love Lucy) and Sterling Holloway (the voice of Winnie The Pooh).   If you've never seen the movie you're in for a treat as you listen to this excellent sounding version of Lux Radio Theater as it was originally broadcast on March 25, 1940.  Now as to why Lux would have a Christmas play at the end of March is beyond Your Humble Host, but we're playing it for you when it should be played right now at Christmas time.   Enjoy this truly wonderful story filled with great actors.
