Replacing a power cable on a cheap DJ mixer I bought at an electronics fleamarket back in 2000s. This was supposed to be easy peasy, lemon squeezy... and SNAP!

Hardware overview of my AC-1 audio computer.
It is an embedded system serving three purposes:
After some problems with the mode switch and operating system, I redesigned and reworked the control circuitry, and recombobulated the software... Simpler, more reliable and more sensible than before.
The cloorful light flashes on the HDD enclosure is just holiday lights above my bench. I probably should have turned them off before making this video... Hindsight!

A follow-up on the Little Red Devil's remote control problems, and how I solved them. It turned out that a millisecond in code lasted eight milliseconds in the ATTiny45 I used in the project, just because the CLKDIV8 was factory set to on... Microcontroller fuse bit shenanigans.

Unboxing the IBM Selectric III typewriter, taking a look at the exterior, noticing the bent keys and sponge damage.
Hang on, kitties - this is gonna be a ride!

Got a package from https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVebYrVZVDOzwlXZje_r6OQ with a bunch of Soviet IN-12B Nixie tubes. What am I gonna do with these? Time will tell... Not a clock!

It's double byte subscriber count now! And I've got a cool manual tape punch to show you, before I trade it off for some Nixie tube displays to a computer geek who has some old computers that use actual paper tape and will appreciate the thing.

A surprise malfunction: the auto-off-on mode switch fell apart on my AC-1 audio computer that I built in 2018-19, around the time when I was moving my lab. This embedded system takes care of switching the power to the main hi-fi equipment (mixer, turntable, RIAA preamp, WS-1 tube amp, CD player, tape deck and tuner), acts as a networked audio interface and a network-attached storage for my digital music collection.
In the last few days a 3-position switch broke, rendering the unit unable to use. I will have to find a good replacement - in the mean time a workaround has to do. Figuring out which wires do what. Repair successful.
