Spark My Muse

Today, I share the backstory and some pages of wisdom from one of my favorite I use during hard times: Henri Nouwen's short work called, "The Inner Voice of Love: Through Anguish to Freedom".

In this short passage, Henri writes himself a personal note detailing how his true self is fully found and loved. The whole book is full of gems!

This short book is also one of the texts I will be reading along with you, and delving into the wonders of, during my Soul School Course at the Spark My Muse website May 21-27 (2018). There is still some time to sign up at a discount and join the class. I hope to see you there. Go to sparkmymuse.com to find out more.

Today, is the gift of song and poetry and a celebration of what it means to be rooted together like mighty Redwoods that live long, grow tall and hold each other up by their rootedness.

Haleh Liza Gafori is my guest today. She left the trajectory of a career in the medical field for the soul medicine of poetry, song, song writing, and the translation into English of the enchanting mystical poems of Persian Sufi poet Rumi.

Listen in to our conversation that includes a variety of things like nightingales, Redwoods, deep listening, shedding the chatter of our thoughts, and going beyond ourselves into new territories of love and generousity.

Show notes are available right away with a link to a fuller-bodied history of Rumi and other excellent information at patreon.com/sparkmymuse for Eps 131 when you chip in $1. Visit the Patreon website for many free and newly free goodies!

Please share this program and write an iTunes review - It helps!
